I'm a male doctor and I see multiple female doctors. I take care of several female doctors who are colleagues and have delivered their kids. Its only weird if you make it weird. I try to be a good patient but I definitely squirm at the eye doctor.

As a young guy I, too, would've been mortified.

Nowadays; and I'm not in Emerg dept, (clarifying ED), I'd love to have students see me. I know they've seen it all before during med school, and sharing accomm with fellow students but, I know some are keen to explore privately.
I'm in for that! (I mean; if we stop or prevent learning, we may as well die).

 

Has anyone here experienced that? What was the situation? What age were you? Who all was there besides the doctor and / or nurse?

Over the years I've read numerous accounts from older people undergoing group or assembly line style physicals for school, sports, or the military. Those were always interesting.

 

I was asked to strip down to my underwear and wear a paper gown. The problem is that I don't wear underwear, so I was naked under the gown. When the doctor lifted the gown to do an abdominal check, he exclaimed, "Oh my!" But did not pull the gown down. When he finished, he asked me to sit up and explained he wanted to do a testicle check and then a rectal. I agreed to both, and without him asking, I removed the gown and stood naked before him.
He was comfortable with my nudity and did not make it an issue. The entire visit lasted about 20 minutes, of which I was naked and uncovered for at least 15 minutes while he performed the physical.

It was a very thorough and professional exam that reminded me of the exams I used to get as a boy.

 

I had a female Dermatologist for many years, and when I went in for my annual full exam, I was naked and she moved my twig and berries about in order to check all crevices.

I was young when the polio vaccine was administered. We lived in the projects at the time. One Saturday morning we kids were directed to go to the admistration building where we sat and watched a movie about germ invasion. We were then asked to undress and line up for a physical. Then we were given the vaccine. It happened too when flu vaccines were first administered. I also remember a time in third grade when they gave annual physicals in school. We were asked to undress to our underwear in the classroom and had a brief physical.

 

I have always just left a pair of athletic shorts on no underwear. Except my dermatologist where I typically drop them when he starts. He loves it not having a gown to move and constantly try and keep you covered. He can also see your skin better much better! He even said one time I wish more people would go nude!

 

For a few years I went to a new doctor's office was just around the corner from where I used to work. She graduated medical school a few years before I started going to her office. So yes she was on the younger side. But very knowledgeable as a G P . When she gave a yearly physical it was very complete physical including a prostate exam. She always had a female co-worker in the exam room . And she always requested that you be naked if you felt comfortable doing so. Her comment was I am going to see all of you anyway. And it just makes it faster and easier that way.

This doctor was not the same doctor that embarrassed during a work exam a few years before .

 

Please...I've been going to this doc for 25 years and nothing would surprise him. You've seen one naked guy and fingered his butt, it's just like the other thousand. Actually, if you're going to do the digital exam, I'd prefer that you be thorough, not just do it fast like changing a tire at the Indy 500.

In grade school, they'd line us all up, boys, then the girls later, we'd have to take our shirts off, open our pants for this huge fat loud doctor for a quick physical. Not sure what he was looking for but he had to peek at everyone's privates. Oh, and he seemed to take great pleasure in snapping the band of your underwear back when he was done.
