Intimate Exams At The Doctors

Healthcare in the US has become all about the power and money. Not treating the sick as it should but how to treat as to advance financially. Our PCPs are now overpaid triage nurses. They now only ship you out to a specialist, their PAs do the before hand marketing. You feel like auctioned likevestock when they are done. Non invasive procedures are used primarily as marketing tools. A small percentage ever fit the criteria of today's newest technology. Pharmaceutical companies are the top dog. Everything needs treated before and after with meds. And it's usually lifetime for heart, diabetis, thyroid to mention a few. More and more people are being said to having these conditions. I actually caught my doctors changing my results on bloodwork in trying to get me on thyroid meds. Two weeks ago I had an endo tell me my A1C was higher than my bloodwork revealed. She used her own calculations.

It was more than a hundred bucks for a stupid physical, I forget the total. That's for the nurse to ask a few routine questions, and the doctor to come in and explain the results of the bloodwork in less detail than I already understand from reading about it. A quick listen to the heart and lungs, ask if I'm having any pain, or concerns. I'll say seven minutes. Good work, if you can get it. But the real problem is the huge ripoff of the people. We're feeding so many mouths in this crazy process we call healthcare in this country. It's mind-numbing how tolerant of abuse we've become. I guess as long as there's a sofa, a tv with ball sports, and some cold water with a touch of beer flavoring and alcohol in a can --- all's good in the world!!

 

I told her the visit was over. That she shouldn't be in any kind of practice. She was very rude and erogant. It was my first time visit. She didn't know me and made nasty assumptions of me. I'd like to report her but who would even listen.

I don't care, as long as the doctor is professional about it. They've all seen plenty of genitalia of both sexes and shouldn't care either.

 

My ex freaked out that my doctor was a male. He even thought I had a crush on my doc because I was wet after a check up. That is lube you dumb shit.

 

As Gummiworm69 stated, as long as the doc is professional about it, I good either way. But having said that, if I had to choose between a female or very attractive male, I guess I would prefer the male. If for no other reason I would then have a reason to look forward to these doc visits.

 

There must be some magic clinic where you walk in and flip through magazine mug shots of doctors to choose from.

I think it's kinda fun to show my performance equipment to a female doctor. I have no reservations about showing a male doc but it lacks that thrill.

I don't believe it's common for a man to get a hard on during a physical exam. I expect it's pretty rare. But a doc won't mind and many would say it's common to make the patient more comfortable.

I turned a nurse red when she asked me to strip down to my undies and I told her I don't use those and showed her how quickly and easily I can drop my elastic band shorts I chose for the occasion. She could see I wasn't wearing undies before she asked due to the thin fabric outlining the details of my shaft and was saying it anyway so I had no reservation about "innocently" dropping them briefly to demonstrate I was ready for the doc.

 

My wife says she has no preference, although she said her last male doctor, an attractive young man, did make the exam more enjoyable...whatever that means. He moved to another city, and her current doc is female. I have no preference, and my current doc is female. The only one that made me uncomfortable was our team doc in high school. He was my girlfriend's/future wife's father, and I didn't like getting naked in front of him or having him poking around my privates for football exams.

 

Proper penis health is critical to playing football. I mean, obviously, right? Or... :-/

Standard procedure was for the doc to put his fingers under your balls and tell you to turn your head and cough, checking for hernias. I think he might have been checking me for more than that.

 

It's pretty much a valid procedure for discovering hernias. But I can confirm that I had an inguinal hernia for many years through several of those exams and the doctor didn't pick up on it. I figured why tell them since I had no intention of going for a repair. But it would pop out and I could pop it back in laying on my back. It never really hurt. Eventually it came out more and became harder to put back. When it reached the point of dropping into my scrotum after having it some thirty five years, I decided to tell the doc and go ahead with the repair.

It can feel like "more" but in my case I know it was fully legit.

 

Gender does not matter. What does is how comfortable I feel with the person that is the doctor.

 

Sharing the same sentiment ...for me always female doctors even i feel shy being examined by them
