Internet outage in the area

Internet has been out format least since yesterday.....makes things more diffficult:devil:

 

Internet is all good here :daisy:

 

I did some tinkering changed the gateway and subnet plus a few other things and it works now.

 

nothing on CNN about this.. are u shitting us?..

 

No I called the ISP....it wouldn't be on the news because it only affected like 1 city block. I can get wifi anywhere pretty much....I just couldn't connect in my building


Glad that's fixed. The default router config did t seem that secure either..of course the one they leased me it won't let u do much to make it more secure.

I had to send in a hand-written note to Skip to be able to make this post.

 

...there are other ways to connect, other signals and such.

I wasn't home when I made the thread I was about 10 blocks away and they could have been using a different ISP down there.

Time warner cable is a very good company tho now, I rarely have problems and they upgraded me to 100mbps at no extra charge

This same topic was mentioned in another thread, and I made reference, questioning it, as you did, but without the sarcasm.
