We met an amazing sistar from hip when we were in California travelling from the UK, in fact after leaving her place we had a car crash and if it wasn't for her saying we were welcome to come stay again if we needed too it would have been really dreadful as I cracked my ribs pretty bad .... Many thanks to booga you are truly one awesome lady...we will never forgot the love and kindness you showed us in our time of need- people like that are worth their weight in gold...

She brought me gin, made me magikal healing butter, cooked us amazing food, entertained my son and above all showed us love :love: some things just cannot be said in words ....

I met a girl once. We met through some sort of myspace hippie thing I think. I found out she lived in my town an I suggested we meet up.

We kicked around town for the day. It was cool. We didn't really "click" per se, but it wasn't weird or anything.

The thing that was wierd is that I'd never seen her before. I must have walked right in front of her house thousands of times.

 

That is cool- I feel the internet has really brought so many people together...it is a great tool for the right use...thank you for the rep :2thumbsup:

I met one really awesome guy that I'm still close friends with, he lives up in the North Island of the country.

Then I regret spending a decent amount of money to visit a friend, who got a crazy idea in their head & accused me of something I didn't do, then refused to believe me when I tried to explain how ridiculous & false it was. Contact was subsequently severed and we haven't spoken since. Sucks, but lesson learnt I guess.

I used to msn with people a lot from all over the world. I grew out of it though. I don't even use msn anymore. I found myself looking forward to talking to people and keyboarding them. Then I went on a big holiday and never used the Internet during it. Best choice ever. Now I don't know what they're up to or who they are anymore but I care not. It's advantageous to get away from this stuff.

 

I've met two people from the internet and have had long term relationships/friendships with them.

 

That is a real shame still some people are lessons in life .....
