I too have a 10meg connection from insight. They are being taken over in my area by comcast though, and through them I will only have a 6meg connection for the same price.
Wow, according to this you have a 30meg bandwidth. Btw, I ment to give you guys the link to speedtest.net, but the one I gave accurately measures as well.
i just thought that i would post an update to me connection since i had to move and get rid of my cable. im using my cell phone as a modem right now with an unlimited data plan. i was thinking about getting the aircard through my cell company but its just to expencive. its 60 a month for the card for the same speeds as i can get with tethering my phone to the laptop with a usb cable. its only 25 bucks added to my cell phone line compared to 60 for a card and a 2 year agreement. anyways heres my speeds as i tested them just now sometimes its faster and sometimes its slower it just all depends. its definatly not as good as i had before with cable but its alot better then if i had to use dial up. heres what i took just now the fastest ive tested was like 850ish download and 140ish upload.
thats pretty close to what i had before what i had cable internet. im glad i get the speeds that i do with just my cell phone. the only good thing about not having cable internet is im saving about 80 bucks a month. cable tv with internet is outragous it was like 150 a month for tv and internet. now for satellite tv and my cell phone used for internet is only like 85. then before we had vonage as a house phone so that was another 30 bucks a month. now all we got is cell phones so we are saving alot.
I have comcast highspeed, and im pretty sure its a fact that its better than verizon everywhere. I could be wrong though.
i have comcast cable internet at home.i just bought a laptop yesterday and got the sprint aircard on it.the sprint costs me 60 bux a month plus the 100 for my nextel all on one bill.
