There are too many old fart artists like him that havent had a hit it years crapping on about stuff did when they were 20 is now wrong.

Maybe some die hard fans would pay $150 to see him but no one else would anyway. So making it sound like he's watching out for the little guy is preferable to him saying "I suck and cant fill a stadium and I'm bitter about it"

 

Only Orstayans care to comment on how drunk he is.

 

I can totally dig what he's got to say man. Course I ain't a hard core musician or anything but still....

 

So, you disagree with the points in the article? There are even more old fart artists that can't even properly perform anymore but DO charge more for a concert ticket then when they were in their prime. So wether Petty is trying to get attention or not he still makes a very valid point.

 

And everything he said IS STILL TRUE!!
