Intel's First Discrete GPU For Supercomputers Is 7nm Ponte Vecchio Leveraging Foveros | HotHardware This is the first confirmation of Intel's new Foveros technology being applied to supercomputing for exoscale computing. They are stacking their Optane memory on top of the processor, which helps to increase speeds while reducing clocks, but the interesting thing is the confirmation of multi gpu chiplets. Nvidia is rumored to be doing this as well, and with four gpu chips you could possibly get 60tf of performance, or enough to render realistic ocean surf. However, consumer applications are more likely to trade off some of their gpu rasterization chips for more ray tracing circuitry. Already, they can put a 16tf gpu on a single chip, which is plenty for doing rasterization and even a fair amount of ray tracing, but you really need about 3x as much ray tracing circuitry as their current consumer cards have to do it full justice, and they've just improved their transistors and gone to 7nm. Intel's goal is to put a Star Trek holodeck on a 7 watt chip, and this announcement means they should reach that in three years, a year or so after they build this supercomputer.
If they only officially support Windows 10 like regular Optane, then they can stuff them straight up their ass! DON'T BUY ANY HARDWARE THAT ONLY SUPPORTS WINDOWS 10!!!! Windows 10 is fucking shit and therefore they are SNIVELING SHIT LICKERS!!!!
AI is the future, because Linux never saved anyone and ARM has no muscle. Apple uses whatever the hell the pentagon says they can use.
Apple OS and Linux are both based off of Unix, an ancient OS from the 70's. Nothing wrong with that but Linux is free while Apple charges a premium to be in their "fancy GUI" club.
Apple are a company. Linux is a software. Ever since i've had my own iMac i've had less issues with the actual computer than i have had with every other microsoft based computer. Not that i don't use microsoft products. Only one i use is MS Office 365.
Linux is the future, which is why Microsoft and everyone else has been investing in Linux. Even our desktops are becoming powerful enough to run supercomputer software, and Microsoft has admitted that it doesn't make sense to keep cobbling together new crappy versions of windows forever, because they only exist to leverage the hardware better for consumers. Both Microsoft and Intel have been working towards eliminating bugs and long downloads, by programming programers out of existence, using AI hardware and circuitry to run any Linux applications you want and write new ones. Basically, AI can teach each other new tricks, empowering any computer with similar hardware to your own to share the best results in how to run any application, while the Vega graphics cards already decide for themselves how to run any video game. It will be at least another three years before Linux adopts their own imitation of the AI already on the market. Its empire baby, and he who controls the means of distribution rules the internet. Linux will have no choice but to create their own AI in the public domain. The problem is, everyone is still carving the internet up into little pieces, but the EU is working on public quantum encryption that will bring entirely new meaning to AI and bots. Deep fakes are a serious concern, because it is always easier to fake something than it is to detect a good fake, and a quantum internet will require new copyright laws.
I will NEVER buy any Apple product. Apple purposefully puts chips on their boards that will COMMIT SUICIDE if you or any third party tries to repair them. They talk about data security like they care about you, but spill anything on your laptop or phone and it's "SORRY YOUR DATA IS FUCKED, NOW LETS SELL YOU A NEW ONE". Apple is a very dishonest and evil company. Microsoft is also evil in different ways, but they only WISH they were as evil as Apple.
