Marijuana cured my insomnia almost entirely!! Smoke it about 3 hours before you want to sleep if possible (I'm pretty sure you smoke though right?)

And otherwise melatonin is the best thing, I know you said you've tried it, but try to find products that are very high in melatonin. Neuro-sleep is a drink that puts me to sleep. Night time alka-seltzer.

Meditation is actually very good. Worst Case, you don't fall asleep, but you're rejuvenating your body. Meditation is pretty fun when you're lying in bed for hours unable to sleep.

I have insomnia for real and what I have found that work the most is a breath meditation before bed, omega 3 with valerian and melatonine with vogel profound sleep. I have one others tips that may help ...masturbation has always worked for me but sometimes i felts too sleepy to do it lol but that work. Not joking there is study proving that masturbation can cure insomnia just tell you a fact. hope it anwers. Ohh I forget try to not take naps these are horrible for sleeping just go to bed at the same hours each day without getting up even if you don't sleep and wake up at the same hrs each day. You body will be forced to a shedule and you will get sleepy at that hours in about 1-2 week and you'll sleep like a baby!

Thanks for replying.:) Sadly-- I have tried all of those things in every combination imaginable. I have even tried many binaural beats and isochronic tones. I have yet to try what Flowermamma posted (too broke), but when I do, I am going to post my results for everyone to see.

Don't you force you self to sleep? just don't beat the sleep let him come... do a prayer before bed just say to god you want to sleep and that you have faith about him. Thanks him and feel light and strong don't fight any anxiety or irritability let them all pass and try to imaginate something think about god.. for servral minute try to see how i could be real and pray to him... you'll fall a sleep :) This is my way when absolutely nothing work. That way it always work :D There is also another herb that you can try : Skullcap you can smoke it wont get you high but you'll be really sleepy ! It good for insomnia

I would make sure you have a well rounded diet and take a multi vitamin. Maybe a deficiency could cause this? Also make pot brownies or some other form of edible marijuana. Edibles induce sleep much better than smoked marijuana in my opinion. For help falling alseep I will eat .5 - 1 gram of middies about 3 hours before bed. Ive also found if I eat .3 - .5 grams right before bed I sleep very deep and sound. I wake up incredibly refreshed and renewed, more than I ever would without a dose before bed. I occasionally have trouble sleeping and found while valerian and melatonin make me sleepy, they lessen the quality of sleep. Maybe buy a new bed? Definitely try edibles, I think itd be impossible not to sleep good after a large dose. And I was skimming through your posts and it seems like your a vegetarian. If youre not taking a multi v you probably have a b12 deficiency which can lead to insomnia.

i've been dealing with insomnia myself. it comes and goes. worst case scenario has been about the same as yours -- ca 2-3 hours of sleep a day. it's like i'm fully tired not having slept the previous day and when i go to sleep, i fall asleep okay, i just wake up after 2-3 hours and can't for the life of me fall back asleep again (w/o extrinsic aid). other times it takes me 4-5 hours of lying awake in bed not falling asleep the whole time. it can be damn frustrating.

i just keep a healthy stash of benzos (alprazolam) around and eat them when i can't sleep. works every time. there are some claims about benzos attenuating the REM cycle and consequently the quality of sleep, however i've used them for years now and every time i pass out for hours on end and when i wake up i feel fully rested like after regular sleep (they do tend to keep you hazy even after you've woken up but that's a minor side effect).

also, in my case the timing of sleep onset is an influencing factor. i tend to fall asleep okay within a certain interval of the day, while outside that time it's nearly impossible to sleep even if i'm tired and unslept from the previous day. and it's not external light cues affecting it either. my bedroom is 100% light-proof. you should try that yourself too. maybe you have a light source in the room that could be disrupting your sleep?

Chamomile tea works great for sleep. Cannabis too, especially indica.

My problem is I work two jobs. One during the day, 5 days a week at an elementary school, and the other a few nights plus weekends at a movie theater. Now, after my school job I do have some time to relax but two hours later I have to go my theater job which is until 1. By the time I get home, yes I'm tired but I also feel like I just have to catch up with life at home and sadly it takes a while and I end up going to bed at 3 or 4. Its crazy. I'm lucky if I even get a full 5 hours let alone 8.
