Inserting things into urethra - yes, I have done it before just for something kinky to do.
A bit of lube is needed thou & so long as you push a suitable sized object in very carefully & if it starts hurting then you should try it with something smaller in thickness & with a rounded end on it. That seems like a perfectly normal reaction. A healthy amount of fear should accompany any activity with inherent risk.
