Can anyone think of a worse time to quit smoking then in the middle of a mental health crisis ?

    Probably.

  3. If you're surrounded by robots who aim their weapons via lasers and the only way you can see the lasers is from smoke.

unless brought by the police you should be able to go outside and smoke....they can here as soon as you calm down

‘Forcing people to quit smoking, even outside, whilst they are suffering from a mental breakdown, severe anxiety or depression, is the height of cruelty. ‘It doesn’t aid their health as the evidence shows most patients take it up again upon discharge.’

Height of cruelty might be an overstatement.

Seems like a bad idea though.

it isnt as easy as typing it on your keyboard...this kind of uninformed answer doesn't help people in crisis....any person who has attempted to get help wants to punch you right now

the thought is that ''crisis'' is a bad time to break a non mental health related habit such as smoking....ive driven to the hosp[ital just to take my kid off a custodial ward for 15 minutes…..its horrible there

Those nicotine replacement patches don't even work on willing healthy people well enough for them to quit without major discomfort. For a psych patient it can be pure hell.

If I could post a video of a young woman "acting up" because she is having a panic attack and begging for a cigarette to try and calm down and collect instead getting restrained by the hospital goons screaming screams like you have never heard in your life even in the most realistic horror movie you have ever seen you would not find it to be an overstatement. Constant violence in those "hospitals."

That particular situation does seem pretty bad.
But most of the time I'm guessing it's not quite so dramatic. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this should be on 60 Minutes.

If She Is Screaming Screams Like You Have Never Heard In Your Life.....Over One Ciggy.....

Then It's Obvious......She Has To Receive Treatment In A Mental Health Clinic.....ASAP.

    Cheers Glen.

    What about those e-cigarrette things?

I can only smell them if I am right next to someone using them and even then only for like a second.

Be easy to sneak in a few puffs now and then

I dont think it's the worst thing in the world. I dont think it is neccessary, but it still isnt the worst

People who go into a regular hospital for whatever physical ailment are forced to quit smoking while they're there and they manage

I posted this in the mental health forum to hear from people that lived it.

    I quit.
