Had a couple of false positives yesterday- one alive, one dead. Both were male cats. The one in Boston looked just like her. I would have sworn it was her... But nope. I'm not joking about tracking devices. I don't care if they have a satellite dish strapped to them and all of their friends make fun of them.
did neffi have tags? did you get the tags updated with your current address? have you checked shelters? I'm sure there have to be some cat-finding websites that have ideas about searches In principle, a trained bloodhound might be able to find neffi. A lot of time has past, so I don't know if they could still do it, but those dogs are amazing. also, I don't know about the availability of bloodhounds or the cost I hope that you find your lost kitty!
http://www.missingpetpartnership.org/index.php has some info on finding pets looks like it's beyond a tracking dog though, unless their is a confirmed fresh trail
Sorry to hear about your cat, Firefly--I hope she comes home soon! I know I would be hysterical if either of my cats went missing! Nefertiti, go home to your mama--she's worried sick about you!
That is not the spirit! :grouphug: hugs for you love! I am so sorry to read this post! Just remain positive. Neffi is a very lucky cat to have an owner who adores her so much and she feels the same adoration back! She has just lost her path. Keep on with your search and your spirit and she will find you. Good luck!<3
YES ^ what LittleKitty said! Plus, I think the dreams are good signs. Even the one where she is dirty. Do not give up. I do feel that quite strongly. Keep her surrounded with white light. I don't give a damn what the nay-sayers come up with...as long as you have faith, it can work.
ahha!!! I've been taking pics of AND trying to take (more) pics of crows that have been coming to our wild-bird eating area...crows are smart as hell! I've been watching out a lot more for them lately...and seeing them more, too. why, I don't know... They can even see a lacy curtain gently pulled back 2 stories up! They have a heirarchy and even post watchers. (from what I've gathered info-wise as well as SEEN) The crows could even help Neffi...:sunny:
Olympic-Bullshitter, that's pretty damn cool! I dream of her a lot. So does my mom. It's not an everyday thing... It just catches me off-guard when I've made a little peace with it, come to terms with the fact that she may not come back and reassure myself that I gave her the best life possible and she's either got a reason for staying away or she's just not with us anymore. It's almost like she's saying "nope, I'm still here- even if you don't see me, I'm with you." That's how I like to take it, anyway. As if I haven't considered this as a possibility, nay a probability by this point. I'm about fed up with your weird cyberstalking on this subject (two posts and neg rep to boot). I'm not sure what you get out of it, quite honestly. It's not like you're winning me over with your infallible logic and crisp witticism.
I had a bad dream about her last night... the first one where she was actually dead. I hope it's not a sign, and that it's just my mind trying to come to grips with her being gone... The strange thing is, there was a new kitty that came into my life that looked and acted just like her, but was a little smaller. I got the impression it was like her spirit saying goodbye- all in the dream of course. I don't know what to believe anymore...
sorry to hear bout your cat one of my cats died a couple of weeks ago, it was strange, he just looked like he was sleeping, no marks on him or anything. and he was only about 3 years old I hate when they go missing, and you just dont know what happened, the best u can hope is that you either find the kitty,or that she found another home?
I'm so sorry lynzxx 3 yrs. old-so sad. Firefly-I saw a story on the news the other day-a cat was reunited with its family 5 years after it went missing. So there is always hope. But in the meantime maybe the dream was meant for you to go pick out a kitten today.
I wish I could go rescue a kitty... There are a few at a place in NH we visited that I would have loved to take home with me. Lots of calicos dumped off around here. I don't understand why. They're so beautiful. Unfortunately, Smokey is coming to the end of his life, and I want to be financially prepared to deal with his health problems until the bitter end, so no new kitty for me until then. Neffi was my special little girl, though, so I just had to take her with me. Otherwise, I would have probably just taken Smokey... Sometimes I wish I had... Lynzxx, that is very sad about your kitty. 3 years old is far too young! I'm sorry. My fiance had a cat that died suddenly like that, without warning or a clue as to what might have happened. There were a few theories, but we could never really find much evidence to link any of them to the cat's death.
