India has a 1.3 billion population , three times that of the European Union, and one-sixth of humanity.

Australia has a mere 20 million population, which can be easily policed, but it is still facing higher sexual violence levels against Australian women. Why is that !

Rate of sexual violence against women has risen dramatically since 2012, ABS says

The continued oppression of the indigenous Australian community, which is now nearing extinction levels, and which I have been hearing about since I was a kid, is an another major issue.

I have already stated the causes and possible solutions. Not sure whether you or gorilla can understand or process it properly for reasons explained earlier.

Well we are having trouble understanding you.. so let's just make our own minds about why you, an Indian Male, is avoiding the topic questions..
So in over 70 years, men in India think they are better than women.. ALL women!
They are now encroaching their beliefs into the UK, but are being punished for it, unlike in India.
End of topic that is going nowhere.

Admin can you please close my thread please. Thanks.

Well, since you can't be bothered arguing... :p but no offense intended ;)
Well, I can only speak for myself in absolute certainty and you're wrong about this. I merely said I see why he responded as he does. Then you asked me why so i answered.

This might be it then. But why get rid of the thread??
It was a good topic and it still is!

Do thank me for championing the cause of U.K women, whose case you have overlooked in your overbearing haste to condemn others. :grinning:

Violent crime rising, police figures suggest

As stated earlier, "I have already stated the causes and possible solutions. Not sure whether you or vanilla gorilla can understand or process it properly for reasons explained earlier."

    Again you are generalizing.

The famous english actor Ben Kingsley is the son of an Indian father and English mother, who had a successful marriage. Ben had married a British actress himself.

The Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who won the Man of the series award for India's cricket World Cup triumph in 2011, has also had a successful love marriage with a Britishwoman named Hazel Keech.

Freda Bedi is an another englishwoman who had a love marriage with an Indian and accompanied her husband to India, where she worked as a journalist, took part in the country's freedom struggle against Britain despite being a Britisher herself, and even joined a women's militia, and had good leadership skills.

The British woman who fought for India's freedom

"There are things deeper than labels and colour and prejudice, and love is one of them." - Freda Bedi

The Britishwoman Margaret Noble became a steadfast disciple of Swami Vivekananda when he visited Britain, and worked with him in India for India's rejuvenation during a difficult period of her existence. She was renamed as Sister Nivedita. Even after Vivekanda's death she worked in India to realise his ideals and teachings till her own last breath, and is fondly remembered in the whole of India for her fiery speeches and exceptional leadership skills.

This is what she said of Swami Vivekananda...

To not a few of us, the words of Swami Vivekananda came as living water to men perishing of thirst. Many of us had been conscious for years past of that growing uncertainty and despair with regard to Religion, which has beset the intellectual life of Europe for half a century. Belief in the dogmas of Christianity had become impossible to us, and we had no means, such as we now hold, by which to separate the doctrinal shell from the kernel of reality in our faith. To these the Vedanta has given intellectual confirmation and philosophical expression of their own mistrusted intuitions.~ Sister Nivedita

Today, her memorial is located below the Railway station on the way to the Victoria Falls, Darjeeling, India, with these words inscribed in her epitaph – "Here lies Sister Nivedita who gave her all to India"

And here is a poem written by Vivekananda honoring Nivedita....

The mother's heart, the hero's will
The sweetness of the southern breeze,
The sacred charm and strength that dwell
    On Aryan altars, flaming, free;
All these be yours and many more
No ancient soul could dream before-
Be thou to India's future son
The mistress, servant, friend in one.

The news was reported and police have taken action against the culprits. But you have still not commented on why Australian crime rate against women is fast rising inspite of such a low population and relatively much higher police to population ratio.

India has been plagued by a spate of horrific and violent attacks on young girls and women over recent years, which have made international headlines.

Official figures show there were 18,862 reported cases of child sex attacks in 2016, equating to more than 50 every day.

Last week, a little girl was playing outside when she was allegedly lured away by two brothers who raped her and strangled her to death in Uttar Pradesh in India’s north.

The six-year-old’s body was allegedly hidden by the perpetrators’ mother. The brothers, aged 12 and 15, admitted to the horrific attack, local police said.

Earlier in August, a three-year-old girl was raped and beheaded after being kidnapped from a train station in the eastern state of Jharkhand.

Those people are disgusting! If they have no soul, which they obviously dont! What use are they to this world?

    Isitbecauseimagirl!

Ajay, this thread is about India.. stay on topic or leave the thread please.

3 year old... but police dealt with it!! But that makes it ok I guess....
Their culture has and never will change... its Indian, men that need to... but when rapists are so young.. education needs to step in.

Both these incidents happened in Bihar, which is reputed to be India's poorest state with poor law and order statistics, with the mafia, feudal warlords and corrupt politicians contesting for power with illegal means. There has been president's rule in this state for many years.Fortunately, there has been good political leadership and economic growth in this particular state for some years, though casteism and tribal identities may assert themselves from time to time. Bihar is also just one of the 29 states in India and it does not reflect the superior conditions in other Indian states due to better economic growth.

Australia has a police to population ratio of 440, while India's is at a measly 130, below the UN norm of 220. This is also lower in the case of Bihar and consequently there is not the proper structure or necessary trained manpower and infrastructure for the application of constitutional laws necessary for law and order. If we had even half of the Aussies police to population ratio, the Indian crime rates would have been negligible, but our present impoverished state prevents us having such an adequate police to population ratio which could have resulted in effective and efficient implementation of constitutional laws.

But then again, even Bihar never had the likes of Australian Brenton Tarrant who shot dead 50 innocent men and women in a mosque in cold blood, just because of xenophobia . And considering the racial conditioning that Australian society is subjected to at present, I feel that we will be introduced to more such in newspaper headlines in the future.

India is an old feudal society with a lot of fault lines that is slowly and steadily making the transition to a modern and ethical society through democracy, all-round education, economic development and rising cultural literacy. It takes time for such a giant nation to get up on its knees and start running with optimal speed and build momentum.

The positive as I said earlier is India's fast growing economy which is lifting millions out of poverty every year and empowering the Indian nation to grow on all parameters of development.

India and China were the richest nations on earth in the sixteenth century as per Forbes and economic historian Angus Maddison. In 1700, India's share of world income was almost equivalent to that of the whole of europe.

    Economy of India - Wikipedia

Unfortunately, both of them along with other Asian nations came under western colonialism in the last two centuries. The British who came as humble traders to India, later used Indian sepoys or mercenaries to start establishing their rule in India gradually, which impoverished the nation from being among the richest to the poorest on earth.

Bengal, which was captured by Indian mercenaries under Robert Clive in 1757 was the richest and most prosperous province in India. After two centuries of British exploitation, it needed a Mother Teresa to feed and educate some of the orphans and starving over there.

The indigo famine in India, like the potato famine in Ireland, was designed to cater to British market and hegemonistic designs, without taking into consideration the native farmer or needs of population. Both famines resulted in deaths of millions.

Great Bengal famine of 1770 - Wikipedia

    Great Famine (Ireland) - Wikipedia

Indian weavers who used to weave fine muslin cloth wich were prized all over the world, had their fingers chopped off by British troops to ruthlessly ensure that there is no competition for British products in the Indian market, even if they are of inferior quality. Many of these weavers committed suicide as a result of loss of livelihood.

    Found: Raj-razed town

Similarly many cottage industries were identified and systematically destroyed to ensure monopoly of British goods in India and drain India's wealth to Britain without any need for quality improvement through competitiveness, cost effectiveness and so on.

The systematic destruction of the Indian cottage industries and artificially engineered famines ensured that the rich became poor and the poor were wiped out.

The Chinese also had a nasty experience in this regard, when the British waged a war against them to repeal the laws against importing of opium, so as to continue their lucrative trade in opium, disregarding the negative social effects on young chinese.

    Opium Wars - Wikipedia

India and China are case studies of the fact that capitalism divorced from ethics and morals is injurious to overall world prosperity rather than increasing it. One man's luxury is brought off the calculated exploitation of an another man's honest labour.

Consequently Indian and china, after independence took the route of socialism and communism respectively, which stifled their overall economic growth but ensured that the poor and underprivileged got state resources for development, and meet their primary needs.

If we were rich as we were in the past, we could have had an optimal police force of quality with a police to population ratio of 220 and more, which could have ensured negligible crime rates in India.

But still India and China have emerged from the depths of poverty to being the fastest growing major economies in the world at the moment, lifting millions out of poverty every year, and quite reflective of the past where they used to be the dominant economies on earth.

As I stated earlier, the growing economy will also ensure a higher police to population ratio and consequently better law and order and negligible crime rates, and betterment in other social parameters too.

As the saying goes, 'The rising tide will lift all boats.'

These are dismal alright, but are nothing compared to what Jack the Ripper and other lunatics have done in Britain. Here are some recent horrific crimes committed in Britain....

Also check out the fact that 50000 children had died in Iraq due to sanctions imposed on them by the U.K for years prior to the invasion.

Iraq Sanctions Kill Children, U.N. Reports

The civilian casualties and those of children during the war was equally tragic. India had gracefully declined to join the invasion of Iraq inspite of being offered a lot of goodies.

Even for small countries like U.K and Australia, I remember reading sensational cases of children killed by paedophiles in articles.

Michael Guider, who killed schoolgirl Samantha Knight, to walk free within days

    Peter Scully - Wikipedia

Number of British paedophiles may be far higher than thought

Western paedophilia is a major nuisance in Asia as well, with those caught using their influence, wealth and political contacts back home to secure their release.

Many news reports and campaigns by NGO's and activists have now tightened the rules and regulations so that no western paedophile is left off early now, and surveillance measures in tourist spots have tightened up, and the Indian police are working with interpol for proactive intelligence sharing to identify and capture criminals early .
