Hello. I'm Ellis, but alternatively go by Sun Dog. I'm 18, from the Allegheny Plateau in the northeast US, and I was raised by a longtime flower child. I finally followed suit after some years of darkness and depression and anger (teenage years, of course). I'm here to seek out likeminded people, and find friends maybe.

    See you around.

Greetings Sun Dog! Welcome to HIP! I've seen a Sea Dog before...but that was a baseball team in Portland, ME. I don't think I've been in your part of Pennsylvania yet. Mostly Philly, a couple to Allentown, Reading and Scranton. Been in Harrisburg twice.

    Thanks for all your welcoming!

@KEVIN_IN_CT: I'm pretty close to Scranton, but pretty far away from everything else. I'm closer to New York than anywhere monumental in PA. It's nice to live in such a rural area, but I'm kind of far from anywhere progressive. At least I've got Ithaca, NY just a little bit north of here!

    Nice to meet you all.

Ah, OK! It's been a while since I've been in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. My last visit to PNC Field in Moosic (Railriders, the AAA-level Yankees) was before they closed it in 2012 to renovate it. My brother has been to the arena in Wilkes-Barre. The drive with a friend west along I-84 from New York is fairly quiet. My only other connection to that area may be that I know somebody in Harvey's Lake.

These days, my Pennsylvania outings are usually to Philadelphia.

I've never been to Ithica. Binghamton either. The furthest I've ever been into New York is Cooperstown for the Baseball Hall Of Fame.

Philadelphia is nice, but unfortunately I'm actually more familiar with New York than I am my own state. While I love Pennsylvania, I simply never go south.

You should come to the Finger Lakes region sometime, visit Ithaca and other places in the area. It's very pretty!

I flew over that area once when coming back from Chicago on a Southwest Plane. It was likely in 2009. Thanks for the tip though! :)
