Out of the whole population of Earth, do you think more people feel personality is more important than anything else, or appearance is? Might be a lame thread but i havnt made one in ages so please reply Edit: Forgot my opinion. To me personality comes first, i know plenty of really hot girls but i can tell their looks made up for their personality, because in a long term relationship with one of them i would end up commiting suicide. Looks are important to me as well though, but i'm not as picky as others. I am really picky with personality though, which i dont like as i find it hard to find someone i like and who likes me back.
It is a lame thread, but you wanted a reply: I dunno...nor is it a matter that thus simplistically phrased concerns me much. (Forgive me my jaded streak) Personality matters more and more. But I essentially think personality and looks are a false duality (but all dualities are necessary errors!). Individuals only matter in their totality (which includes the situations in which you come into contact with them as Sartre already pointed out).
It's a hard question. When you see a cutie...what do you think of her ? That she just look nice... or that she's got a cute personality ?
