Folks respond to strong charismatic attitudes when they're scared. Most are just sheep lookin' for that one damn goat to lead

I said it in another thread, probably one of yours, but I'll say again..
In the last 20 years we've all become hooked on entertainment, we have a million viewer vote based reality shows and we have to vote in order to get what we think will be the most entertaining outcome. That's going to affect people's subconscious.
So I really think people are voting with a bias towards what they feel will be more exciting and entertaining and funny.

I never view anyone in the entertainment industry as “leaders”. To me, tv hosts are simply expressing their views on world matters, from THEIR lense. There’s nothing wrong with that, but some people tend to jump on the band wagon when they hear entertainers make political statements, because they think and feel the same exact way.

In the land of the blind the one-eyed is king

Not only that but people have always been for a large part superficial. They used to have to go largely by words (content) to get an idea of politics and politicians. Tv and photos have become so important in news... It caters to the superficial aspect in humans. Very unfortunate.
