You can't say you have neglect locks. You have backcombed locks, you said it yourself you had no problem giving your hair a push in the right direction, which is fine. So you shouldn't have a problem realizing this.
This doesn't change the significance/purpose of my dreadlocks to me, and that's all that counts to me.
Some of the Nazirite laws were directed at people from way back whenever. With this in consideration, it is sometimes thought that some of the laws from the original vow do not apply to followers of today. I am an advocate of this philosophy based on my study and research which is far too long to type here. [well maybe not, but i'm far too lazy for sure] I follow about 4/6 of the original laws.
 Perhaps you could benefit from learning what words mean before you use them... You say that your locks are neglect and they aren't. You say that I fail at being elitist, but I have a strong suspicion that you think that I am indeed an elitist. But what do I know? I'm just a fool...
Ok Mr. I take everything literally when it's to my advantage and don't when it's to my disadvantage and live to heckel people on the internet.
... Bro, using Bob Marley as an example is only because he is such a commonly known person with thick dreadlocks. Obviously I'm not black and can never have kinky hair. Point is I want THICK locks.
Yeah I love the dreaddie posters but they can be asses. Like one person said, put some beads on their if you wanna help them congo. The best thing you can do is rub your head all over when you're washing them and be sure not to pull any apart unless they're getting painful. Trust me, they'll start congoing all over the place. If you notice, Marley started out with quite thin dreads but over time they turned out to be pretty thick. the same thing will happen for you if you just be patient. maybe wash with sea salt or go to the ocean to help the locks come together better?
Ahoy ... umm, 6 ... where ya get that from? Huh??? ... The Vow is the Vow, it’s timeless, there are still peeps today that follow it strictly ... what is the logic behind saying that only certain aspects are relevant today ... and who are these advocates you are speaking of ... Christians? If ya are talking about Christians, I guess that makes sense, as Christians love to change the meaning of virtually every Biblical Scripture to fit in with their contradictory lifestyles To get to the point, if you consume alcohol and / or meat, you isn’t following the Vow Anyway, in terms of your goal, you shouldn’t have backcombed, because it involves artificially parting your hair. To have the locs that you mentioned, then you need your hair’s actual locs to mat first ... which is why one usually sees Rasta starting off with a lot of thinner locs, which over time come together and form pulses ... um, still not sure, but I think that’s what some peeps refer to as congos, dunno, could be something completely different ... but ja, the arterial parting, hmm, that’s gonna give you a headache in the long run One Love!
I agree with DonBk, you can't just follow some laws or the one's that suit you and then act like your a true follower. By doing this, as well as saying you have natural locks when you backcombed makes you look like a tool. You need to rethink how your going to represent yourself and your "beliefs".
