They did impeach Trump for trying to abuse the power of the presidency by, inter alia, asserting extravagant claims of expansive executive privilege to withold all information from Congress--in violation of separation of powers. Going to the courts isn't practical, because time is of the essence (elections coming up; Trump encouraging foreign interference). Nadler tried that, but Schiff accurately chracterized Trump's policies as a rope-a-dope tactic, gave him a reasonable time to produce the witnesses and documents, and then (as promised) treated further delay as obstruction.

I don't know what "Nadler tried", but of course, do not let them have agency lawyers. Make them pay for their own. That stinks.

Courts have wide discretion to move quickly on cases, but, of course, whereas previous impeachments took over a year to process, Dems rammed this one through in 12 weeks, which, I understand would be difficult for the judicial branch to match. Due process be damned.

And while I would say neither party is guiltless of gerrymandering, your claim is a brazen lie. But I agree that the ignorance of the American electorate is a mortal threat to our democracy. I do not know what the standards should be- it don't think there is just "one right way to do it"- but I think we need some qualification for the right to vote other than a body temperature of 98.6F.

Thank you very kindly, sir. I did quite bristle at your comment. I'd say it was not one of your finer moments, but you have shown some class and I regret calling you a jerk.

    LOL!
It's always refreshing to know that somewhere, sometime, someone thinks you're a jerk.

In America, 66 million used their mind in intellectual engagement during our Democratic process in 2016. In contrast, we had 63 million blindly follow Donald Trump like stupid cattle at the damn feed lot. I would say any endangerment to American Democracy has its roots in the intellectually defective Republican Party.

Trump paid several lawyers who filed court actions to force Obama to produce his birth certificate. Trump may have been Sheriff Joe Arpaio in a similar effort.

  8. This is the sort of thinking that brought us Trump in the first place. To actually believe that so many people are mentally deficient simply because they don't share your views. That's really amazing. It did wonders for Hillary.

Hillary wasn't selling Russian fantasies about the Deep State. 63 million Republicans voted for Trump because they bought the Deep State Horse Shit. Deep State is a fantasy about a take-over of American government by bureaucrats. It first showed up when Jerome Corsi started to appear as a guest on Infowars with Alex Jones, right along with RT.Com citations and Paul Joseph Watson tripe.

Corsi on Infowars happened first, long before she ran for president. I started listening to Alex back in 1995 or 1996. I remember when Prisonplanet was the big deal until Infowars became the dominant venue.

Th title of this thread claims Trump's impeachment is unwarranted. I say otherwise. Today's reports on Trump Golfing pleasure says he has spent over $118, 000, 000, 00 of taxpayer dollars. Trump complained that Obama was spending too much time on the golf course. But, in three years Trump has out done Obama's entire 8 years on the golf course. In fact, they are saying he has spent more than 296 years of president's salary on playing golf. That figure does not include the cost of security details which follow his fat ass around. And it does not include the cost of lodging , which happens to be at his own golfing resorts.

As I remember, there was a hack of Podesta's emails/computer, then a hack of Hillary's Blackberry, then a Hack of the DNC server, then there was some issue with Hillary's private server. James Comey of the FBI announced an investigation of Hillary a few weeks before the election then cleared her something like two days before the election; but, the damage was already done. She won the popular vote by three million, but lost in the electoral college. The numbers in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania made the difference.

If you research what happened, you'll find that what you just said happened, didn't really happen.
It was all legal...if you notice Trump was going to put her in jail and she ain't there is she?

Know why? She didn't do anything wrong!
