Imagine something. It exists, somewhere.

i thoroughly enjoy this idea. the idea that "imagine something. it exists, somewhere" is pretty cool. it's pretty tough for us to debate what's real or not, hehe, but hell it's a cool mind fuck. a friend of mine and myself were discussing this as well - many things we imagine involve alterations of our laws of physics - in order for there to be somewhere that, for instance, my desk would turn into a large pink elephant, that place would have to have different physical laws. thus, the formation of the universe would have to have been different (in the first moments of the big bang, when physical laws were dictated). that means that the earth would not be the exact same, and i would not be sitting here exactly the same way - hell, i don't even exist the same way in that universe if physical laws are different - so how can my imagining my desk turning into a pink elephant exist?

although, the idea is, i suppose, if there's any possibility at all, it exists... oh well, who knows. good stuff, though, props to the OP.
