I'm unemployed again...

Well, I woke up today to a whole bunch of calls logged on my caller ID.
The supervisor from the place actually called here 5 times this morning from two different numbers, one was blocked.
This woman had been nasty to me since I started.
I had a doctors excuse for a week because my back got so messed up from being overworked.
She had been telling people she thought it was fake..Why would I bother?
She actually called here to yell at me for not showing up last night. A no call no show is automatic dismissal...But, she was actually calling here to yell at me....Wanted to get in that last minute bullying I guess.
I answered the phone just long enough to tell her to take a hint.

You mean these lortabs won't cure it? j/k :stunned:
They gave me some papers with lower back stretches on them, I've been doing those, thanks.

I really did want this to end differently. That woman just had to add insult to injury, literally. Mean people suck. :$

 

they sell it here in a few stores. more beer walmarts, really.

 

What do they sell, budweiser? Around here you have to go to a beer distributor.
I think they've backed off a tiny bit on our draconian liquor laws, & there are now a couple distributors open on Sundays.

 

Too early in the day for me to have a drink. I need to wait until at least 4:00 PM. Okay, okay, don't pull my leg, maybe 3:45.

I'm still emotionally disturbed about it.
Everyone else in my life wanted me to keep that job while I looked for another. I just couldn't stand the thought of damaging my back more, & putting up with how shitty you got treated there any longer.
I wanted the reference, but oh well... I know the office there has dicked people that did the right thing and gave notice before.
Somebody else'll hire me. Might take a little creativity in my resume is all.

 

no no. they're liquor store the size of walmart. they're very intimidating. on the weekends the liquor stores take out whole page ads in the papers listing their sales and deals. it's awesome.

 

I really don't drink all that much anymore...So our liquor laws don't affect folks like us too much.
But, if there was a sale on Irish Cream, Jagermeister, or any good dark beer, I'd probably be there.
Then again, I bet I'll be drinking more soon though, since I have to quit smoking reefer again for the impending jobhunt.

 

fun fun. i just love having a lot of options. plus we have the kegorator and multiple breweries here in town to choose from. BUT, mainly i drink vodka.

 

I have a buddy who's a strictly vodka man. They were raving about chocolate vodka, though I don't recall which brand it was.
