I'm sooo grateful

Grateful Dead is coming to the gorge in Washington and I think I'm getting tickets. I was going to go to their show in Denver but fuck paying hundreds of dollars to ride on a bus for days, then days back. If I can scrounge some money together before they sell out I'm going to explode with delight!

 

I had 8 tickets (in 88 I think) in Seattle one time but I got so drunk that month I don't know what happened to them.

 

Ah man that must have been a bummer.

 

Yeah I truly have no idea what happened to them. I remember standing in line and they would only sell me 8, then I was in the Zoo tavern showing them off then blank

 

You probably sold them for beer or drugs, or possibly some bastard stole them off you. Or perhaps you were hammered and gave them to people. Ya never know.

 

umm no,no they are not.. "the other ones" using the name "the dead" to boost overpriced ticket sales are coming to the gorge in washington..

there is no more grateful dead..

I was about to make the same point HHB.

You will be seeing "The Dead" Good show, none the less....but not the same.

They are coming to this area April 12th I believe. We're a bit undecided if we will go or not. I have been to many of their shows and they are always full of good vibes.

 

ill never dignify them with a dime of my money. when jerry died the price of their tickets shot up 300%.

jerry would slap all of them silly for that if he could come back from the grave..

 

Perhaps he haunts their dreams as a cuddly teddy bear or skeleton.

 

Wouldn't the ticket price go down again then?

I know its not the Grateful Dead with Jerry but I might as well go, The Allman Brothers Band and The Doobie Brothers will be there. And tickets aren't much at this show. $55 on presale, we will see when they go on sale friday.

Even if tickets are high, it would be my first hippie show. Doobie Brothers and Allman Brothers. Plus there is a camp site where I can maybe find some drugs. If, when they go on sale friday they are less then $100, I'll go.

 

What a funny line up, all three bands are missing a major member.

Yay! That's awesome! We're seeing them in Mountain View this spring. I am super excited as it will be my first show.
