HA !! we sure do sound rough.. and to look so well preserved in our pic..lol.. well except for homebudz in his last sig. (some good shit) that was funny. cya'll in the old hippies home..Maybe there are no old hippies home..omg.. where will us old hippies go when we can't feed ourselves anymore. Maybe someone should open a old hippies home up.. hummm.. they could have tapestries hanging over the windows as curtans and bean bag wheelchairs and some lava lamps, maybe some elephant bells on the attendents shoes. We could grow a little weed patch out back and raise tomatos. We could gather at breakfast and throw the I Ching to see if we're in good karmatic standing for the day and we can toast to a good BM with our metamusel. We could eat tofuti, brown rice and yogurt. We could paint our walkers with day-gol paint and put black lights in the lamps and have a strobe light flashing towards the bathroom so we can find it easily. Man.. we could all tye-dye our jammies and sit in a circle and ohmm.. wow how cool would that be.. we could have different setups..like the harley room (harley carbs and oil spills on the floor) for the old hippie bikers, the hari kresnah room (painted orange with tambourines). I could go on, but i wont..

    Heifer....

That's my idea!! I've been preaching this for years! An old Hippy Home! I was thinking of a farm in the country, then I thought, wait, a Yuppie dude ranch farm, they have more money! Let them shovel manure and bail hay an stuff and charge them lops of money. But then I thought, why not a FAT Yuppie farm! Hipe up the work off the fat deal...but then I thought wait aminute, that's all too much work.

So now I'm working on a Grannys Gone Wild Video!
Think of it GRANNYS GONE WILD!

I can see it on TV!

    GRANNYS GONE WILD!!!!
    Can't loose!

Oooooh, a hippie home! I'm in!!

Yeah, I remember party lines too....we were 2 longs, the neighbors were 2 shorts. I remember Eisenhower as president, nickle Hershey bars, gas was 15 cents a gallon. How come I can remember that when I can't remember where I put my glasses????

cuz yer memory banks are stuffed with all that other, more valued, stuff, that you just shared.
Isn't it interesting that lost items are always found in the last place you look?
    It's uncanny, and true.
I can only recall the days before video games, and two dollars was a fortune to me on Saturday, which bought a lot.
McDonald's ads said 'feed the whole family for under $5...'
I remember when Canada adopted the metric system, yet we still use 2 by 4's 25 years later.
I remember the first moon landing thing on bw tv.
No remote controls, no cable, no cassette tapes.
    33's and 45's.

I'm so old I (think I) can remember when you couldn't spend a dollar at a double feature Saturday matinee without getting a stomach ache from eating too much candy. (Probably had money left over.)

I can remember when computers had tubes in them.

When a computer was a) an abacus, b) a slide rule, or c) an adding machine.

    Rotary phones.

Push buttons for Park, Reverse, Drive on some Chryslers.

The Mercury Monterrey with the reverse-angle, power roll-down rear window. Carbon Monoxide poisoning, anyone?

Hee-uge-assed (I mean BIG, people) rear fender fins.

    The Edsel.:D

    Three on the column.

    Manual choke.

Couldn't put five bucks of gas in the tank. (too much gas);)

Three TV stations - CBS, ABC, & NBC.

Knowing when a storm was coming by the static on the AM band.

When kids could spend hours staring at clouds and no one thought they were underachieving. (what happened to THAT?:()

    I had a 64' Mercury Monterey Marauder (fastback) with the police Interceptor 375hp 390 in 1970. I also had two 59" Caddys, a 59' Buick and a 54" and a 57 Hearse. I'm 50.

I'm so old I remember putting one of those tri-colored plastics on my TV so it looked like a color TV.
I'm so old I got pulled over and got out of the car with a knife in my hand and the cop was screaming at me to throw it on the ground but I resheaved it. Then I told him I was tired of getting pulled over for being a hippy and he said I was weaving and asked if I'd been drinking and I said heck yeah. He asked how much I had to drink and I said I was working on my 4th quart. He asked me if I could drive home and I said yeah and he let me go and I drank my quart on the way home.
I'm so old, old guys used to tell me they got bread sacks full of weed for $10.

there is acctually sort of an old hippies home, I remember when we were protesting the bombing of Afganistan that they used to come one a bus with signs that said "Grandmas for Peace" and things like that.

It's somewhere around hollywood I think, called the home for progressive thinkers or something to that effect.

Not as good as your farm idea though ;)

    LOVE to you all :)
