Unless you're Native American, there are no such old days to miss ... and even they were immigrants, they just didn't take anyone's jobs.

 

There could always be a different cosmos in which America shits out other nations.

Sadly... in this one... a lot of nations shat out America, and that little mixture evolved into a self-sufficent sewer system.

 

take that neo-nazi shit somewhere else. i patroll the stormfront.org forums as part of an anti-fascist group and i see that stuff being thrown around all the time.

america was founded by illegal immigrants and closing them out and forcing population control isnt going to help.

america is not going to turn into antoher shit hole country because of immigrants. its immigrants that take the jobs most people dont want. do you want to be working in a fruit orchard picking fruit all day long for less than minimum wage? its immigrants that take extremely hard contruction jobs so people can live in big cities. but thats all from the capitalist perspective.**

the US has had illegal immigrants entering since day one. we are a nation built on illegals. they are not the problem as american politicians would like you to think. theyare scape goats.

To the OP: I see your point, and I value it... It's good to be grateful, and I give you props for being grateful... but if you always accept what is, that can leave little to no room for change.

Although we may have things to be grateful for, it's also important to look at what's WRONG with our government/society, and seek to change those things that are wrong.

 

By the way, don't forget that just because YOU have it good, here in the U.S. doesn't mean everybody does. There are plenty of people struggling here, and getting shit on by the government, just like other countries.

Every society has it's pros and cons...

i personally dont think its fair that americans have it extremely well, while people are dying of hunger and poverty in the third world. and on top of it because of organizations like the world bank and IMF and the WTO, those people in the third world are supplying us apathetic americans with our wealth.
