im making fudge... TOLD dan to pick up marshmallow at the store cause at the end it requires a can of marshmallow and a can of pb....he forgot to get it and is at work. i cant get to a store. fudge is already cooking. will it be okay without it? can i add another jar of pb instead? would dulce de leche (a form of caramel from argentina) work as a subtitute? anyone know what WOULD work as a sub.? or will it come out okay?
It'll turn out fine now. But if you wanna take the chance with the dulce de leche, it sounds awesome.
hmmm google tells me whipped cream but i dont have that. im gonna cry. this was the highlight of my night...haha, sad but true and he forgot!!! damn him!
marshmallow? my recipe just says butter, chocolate, sugar, cream, vanilla and nuts (optional) so, I don't know
try emailing spauk@earthlink.net but hes probably asleep by now.. but hes the fudge master..he makes the best fudge ya ever tasted..well at least he could help ya out for next time
yeah cream or whipped cream and marshmallow are all kinda the same the way they would work for fudge i just found out.... anyways thanks for the advice everyone- i think ill just do what lodui said and chance the dulce de leche... who knows? it could turn out bangin!
i like both.... well, with cooking cooking like main dishes and sides and soups and such i love to experiment but with sweets and stuff like that, i get nervous about experimentation.... had quite a few things turn out, not good....
yeah, baking and sweets are often best with a recipe, since it's so measured out, more chemistry than cooking I think. Speaking of, I should make banana bread tomorrow, w00t
mmmm banana bread. yummy. and yeah thats why i wouldnt have even started this fudge had i known he forgot to get the marsh.. at the store when he got the cocoa. oh well... i shall hope for the best
