Woah, I thought you were just kidding before, did you really go on? How far did you get? What did they say?
Ha, I recently managed to convert the tape to avi so I may put it up on youtube if I can work out how to do it
Well here was my moment of fame makes me cringe! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vfxwNHkvIw This explains what I was up to: http://www.vheissu.freeserve.co.uk/pop
When I went on the Socialist Unity blog I was surprised to find this photo. So for anyone who missed it....
LOL, Too bad they didn't let you play your ukelele (is that what it was?) I think you SHOULD try standup comedy. Martin Mull has a great act that uses a ukelele (or banjo or whatever)...
Hahahahaha man that's priceless! It beats the crap out of my moment of shame! Shit, that's hilarious - it's why I only watch the early rounds of Pop Idol, it's just people going on for a laugh. Your bit kind of reminded me of Shooting Stars where Vic Reeves sings all the songs in the 'club style'. Still, they must have thought you had some talent, or you wouldn't have got through to the TV stage would you? Can't believe you had that little skeleton sitting in your closet, class act....
I don't think my technology will let me convert a whole 45 minute programme or even half of it, it was a struggle to get a couple of minutes to work. I'll give it a try tomorrow though... maybe Ollie can do it for you?
Bah, I liked my version better. Had revolutionary undertones to it... "The tide is turning comrades! Hasta la victoria siempre!" See, el Che agrees....
Haha! That answer is actually even better, Sal...It would be good if Atomic Kitten did actually sing that.
you did really well... i don't..um...i wasn't expecting you to get that far after what you told me! hehe but honestly... that Glenn Miller question... i was shouting at the tv!! MOONLIGHT SERENADE! you need some decent musical education.... bloody levellers
