this is so lame. I just HAD to buy a package of origami paper whilst I was at work yesterday, and since then, I've gone origami happy.... I've made a bunch of paper cranes that I've mobiled together, a zillion origami boxes.... yikes... this is such a weird obsession, I'm totally hooked.
I know! It's so cool! Once I finish making a box out of each colour in the pack, I'm moving on to make animals... there are instructions on how to make cicadas and goldfish.... My mom loves cicadas, I'm going to fill a box of those for her.
A couple years ago I went totally origami crazy. I now have boxes and boxes of things that I made. Not sure what I'm ever going to do with them. Maybe I should decorate my apartment.
origami....... have you ever used tinfoil to make origami critters? they look really pretty, but it's hard to do it without tearing the foil.
I learned how to make stars. I have to say, its very addictive and therapeutic in a sense. Clears the head up.
I bought my mom a fold-a-day origami calendar thinger for xmas. 365 designs, comes with the paper and everything, it's cool.
my 3rd semester of college i went home with a friend one weekend. she took me to her friends house, but only her lil bro was there. my friend was like "show her the origami you make...show her." so he went and got a little square piece of purple paper and made me the smallest origami swan/bird i'd ever seen. i'll keep it forever. i never got into origami myself, but i think i might check it out. i have lots of paper that i can't bring myself to throw out. (i save computer paper that's only used on one side.)
fifth grade the teacher wanted me to figure out how to make origami boxes so i could teach the class.. thats when it started.. i'd make boxes out of scrap paper, my homework, other kids homework, notes to my parents. i made boxes out of the biggest paper i could find .. and tiny boxes that i'd have to sharpen my pencil, just so i could use the point to help me fold it all
hmmmi got a box or origami stuff for xmas, maybe i should actually use it... i just don't know what to do with it when i'm done! hmmm...
hehe, i like boxes, but i have tons already... cicadas sound pretty. and so do little animals... hmmm i'll go look at the box now and see what i can do
i have an oragami calender i got at this cute craft store in vermont. each day is a piece of oragami paper along wiht intructions on a new thing to make. me or my aide picks out a different kid each day to help and then they get to keep whatever we make...it's cool as hell.
