Northern West Virginia... near Romney, West Virginia, actually... about 30 minutes from the Delmarva area, but the mountain I'm facing is Spruce Knob.

And good lord, the more I watch that video, the more I think Ryan Adams & The Cardinals could merge with Phil Lesh & Friends and combine into "The Dead" rather than deal with Bobby. He sings so friggin much like Jer-bear... And the steel guitar reminds me of his pedal steel playing on Teach Your Children, with the Croz and such.

God, I love pedal steel. Most people can't play that shit with enough feeling. Don Helms is probably my favorite steel guitarist... played for Hank Sr.... along with Jon Graboff, for the cardinals... he also plays steel for Willie Nelson, but he's mostly a producer/session musician kinda deal.

Of course, far for me would be more than twelve hours, though most Americans would consider that far. I guess I just love to drive things (guess it started out with tractors when I was little) and sail and shit, so I just like going on long trips. I can be in Jacksonville in five hours, from here... Asheville/Fayatteville, NC is sort of the midway point between where I live in VA and Florida.

Well, it's just now getting to be season round these parts. Produce farmers usually get PA produce, sometimes Ontarian, though I reckon Chilean fruit is cheaper.

Don't know how that'd fare when you'd figure in fuel prices and shipping costs.

Either way, that's why I love my farmer's markets.

Actually, I come for the boiled nuts and samples Which is why I love Trader Joe's stores... all the free samples and they don't really say anything. I pretty much had myself lunch at Trader Joe's on the way to West Virginia, while I was round Manassas/Arlington, going through NoVa.

NoVa people do get weirder every day. Downtown Fred-Vegas is cool as shit, though.

Holy shit... one day I will fish Lake Okeechobee, FL. The other day I found a waterfront house with a boat slip on Okee for 198K... which is pretty ridiculous. I love Northern FL, but I'm not sure if I'll be headed there right now. I totally lost some cash on the way, today.
