But this is pretty cute/hilarious. http://distractify.com/people/perso...at-prove-cat-owners-are-the-best-people-ever/
The world needs more guinea pig gifs. I'm tired of this two party system of Cats and Dogs!! Rodentia kick ass.
Guinea pigs always seem so skittish all the time and scared. I heard rats can be good pets because they're really social animals.
You really gotta work your guinea pig's social skills and even then, they'll run to get picked up. It's prey conditioning. It took me a few months to get a full on biting rescue pig to not bite so hard. Interacting with them during 'floor-time' is the best. Just sit there and they will be curious about you.
Same with rabbits actually. My little guy will now run right up to us when we open his cage, but it took a long time to get to that point. When we first got him, if you even looked at him he would bolt for his cage.
Mine was trained to do a few tricks, and she would chill on my shoulder like a little parrot. Plus they're not stinky like a lot of rodents/weasels are.
Circles!!! My two bonded boars do synchronized circles. It's so freakn' cute. I should really try to vid that.
I've had pet snakes most of my life and I never looked at rats as anything more than snake food. Then one day I asked my ex to pick up a feeder rat for my python. She brought home a rat, but she also brought home a cage full of toys and food for the sucker. I thought it was stupid at first, but the thing grew on me and I ended up kinda liking it. It was a bit weird though when I fed my snake and there was a rat in the next room living the good life.
