I moved to Alaska, Seward that is, the day after I finished high school back in 1967. It was home from then on. The old saying of It's not what you know, it's who you know. Is a very true statement in small town Alaska. It does take awhile to get the lay of the land and be know by the "locals". We have such a summer Transite population in the summer, nobody will recognize you until February. Gardening is also a challenge....Dennis
depends on whats ur ideal living quarters. myself, i prefer bigger towns. if you smoke alot of pot, homers your place, that is if you dont mind tourists lol! but, if you like more serene nature areas, i would definatley go for Prince Of Wales island, which is where i live. only problem is, its kinda out in the middle of nowhere, even though its a huge island. people are all really nice and laid back on the island though, and just everything has alot slower pace. hoped this helped.
