I live in Pasadena and work in downtown Los Angeles. I'm overweight and old (57 in April this year). I used to like planning and planting a garden, but with the drought being what it is, I don't even bother growing grass anymore I have answered one or two Meet Up gatherings in Pasadena (I've only been brave enough to look at Wicca events). I'm not a Wiccan, but I have been curious about the practice for many years. Other cultural grooming prevents me from diving in and living the life, but it's definitely on my bucket list of things to work on. BTW, does anyone here have a bucket list?
I am in California as well. I don't really have a bucket list, not yet at least. There are obviously some things in life I would like to experience, though.
RollinStoned: Bist Du echt wahr Republikaner? Tyrsonswood: I just started the topic. I'm in California. As I mentioned, I'm 56 and the thought of the bucket list is intriguing. Sorry if you feel the question appears too often. I don't troll every post. If you don't like it, just move on, no?
Los Angeles is a car town and I can't imagine living without one. I like mine and I generally like having two (when one needs servicing). I have a housemate who has been using my spare and he hasn't been keeping it up at the high level I would like. If you were buying a car these days, what make/model would you like?
Yikes.. you poor thing.. living in the big city. I've had my diesel pickup for about ten years. Never had to repair anything serious on it. I like the fact that it could be converted to bio if I ever felt the need. I like that it doesn't have any tech things on it like the new vehicles. And it hauls a ton of hay, which is probably not something you need in civilization. But get a BAT, Big Ass Truck, and make your neighbors wonder about ya.
I spent a year living in the area around dodger stadium, between Silverlake and Echo Park. It looks like you've been around the forums. Welcome.
Just walk around L.A. You'll find all sorts of hiddene gems. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9q2AdjFlv0
