About 2 acres worth actually, total clear cut but I have a good reason. I want to replant the spot with assorted fruit trees instead and around the fence line plant berry bushes.

Currently there is a bunch of oak and maple trees there and they will become firewood, maybe the maples might have a gunstock or two in em.

Could you please spare a few of the oak and maple trees – maybe build a tree house in one of them for kids to play in.

Fruit trees like a buffer zone of ever greens around them so maybe you should consider planting some cedars as well. Cheers!

Well I have alot more land than that and I have left it alone but wanted a dwarf fruit tree orchard so it just has to be done.

As for evergreens around my fence well that will not give the berries I want so again it shows yet another need to do the berries around the fence line.

Just think of all the little critters that will come by and munch down on the berries and fruits. The other 38 acres or so are all trees so they have happy little homes and I plan on tossing some shade ground cover flowering plants down around it all that the birds will go crazy over.

I think it a positive change really.

my dad chopped down all the trees in our backyard, exept for the fruit trees, and then planted more fruit trees! i was so mad at him because before my backyard looked like a beautiful mystical forest and now it just looks empty and it will take aaages for the trees to grow. RIP trees :'(
