Hehe, so that would make you a...not good guy? Only if I have bad taste, or something...gahh!! I'm confused! lol You would be right, Keenman.
I married at 19 and divorced at 21. Marriage is pointless. I'm not saying that because of my own situation. I'm now in a completely serious long term relationship, yet neither of us ever want to get married, purely because it's totally pointless unless you like expensive flashy parties and stressing out over things like invites and paper plates. I can't think of a single reason for marriage other than being viewed as somehow more together by others because you signed a legal paper.
The piece of paper doesn't matter to me. I just want to have the ceremony where we take vows in front of everyone we care about, showing how much we love each other. May sound sappy, and you may not agree with it, but it's what I want. It was mostly the idea of engagement/marriage I loved before with my ex but I should have known we weren't right for each other. I'm not wanting to get married now, maybe in a few years. I'm happy just being with my boyfriend and getting closer as time goes by.
Yeah we have gatherings where we celebrate our love and stuff, but we call them parties and save a lot of hassle. Glad you're in a happy relationship now.:2thumbsup:
