I like warmer tones and less interference and signal chain breaks. It becoms a pain.

 

It's the only one I use. But when I get my 1969 fender head fixed I'll be using my USA Big Muff as well as my wah.

 

That is good, because it would be wrong if you would break up with someone elses boyfriend.

 

What model head?

What tubes you using, or is it solid state?

I use a twin.

 

It's 69 master reverb. Tube. I'm not sure what I'll be using yet, I plan on asking the repair guy.

 

I use RFT... 12AX7/ECC83. People usually use them in Mesa Boogie and Marshalls (They're a German tube) for their crunch and gain peaks, low microphonics... but I like a little bit more growl out of a Fender amp rather than use a Marshall amp or something, because they're a little overkill unless I'm doing like... slide or straight Southern Rock-like stuff. I like something where I can still play Jazz and all...etc.

 

He'll probably try to get you to put in Groove Tubes... which are just run of the mill Fender Mexico stuff.

 

I don't think they would be good inside a clean fender. I've had 600 something recomended to me. They're the same type that around then and the same type that's probley sitting in the amp.

 

Oh, mine was pretty clean too... it depends on the settings. I can get it to do anything and go anywhere, now. If I want some gain increase, I can hook it to my stereo with a mic input.. run it through the stereo (sitting out of view, behind the amp) and tweak it with an EQ/soundboard and everything.

 

I'm probley going to get a zakk wylde overdrive pedal though. The shredderinside me won't be happy with all the time fuzz.

That's a given, but that's also how I've always felt.
