i get not liking shoes. i prefer not to wear shoes myself. they're just not comfortable. but i can't understand the sock hate. they're not constricting like shoes, and they keep your feet warm. i can't think of a downside, except that they're slippery on linoleum.
I Don't Own A Pair Of Socks......Or A Pair Of Shoes.....Been Barefoot For 12 Years And 5 Months..... I Guess In Most Peoples Eyes That Makes Me Just A "Teeny Wheeny Bit Eccentric".... .. .I Have No Problem With That Label..... Cheers Glen.
Socks are more constricting than shoes, I think. They ummm encapsulate your entire foot, whereas with most shoes at least a lil part of your foot is free I am not a fan of wearing socks. I avoid them when I can, but wear them when I have to and when it's cold.
What I don't like about them is having to hang them all up to dry with the laundry. That is something I don't miss doing all summer.
I always wear socks with dress shoes, work boots, sneakers and my cowboy boots. No socks with "deck" or "boat" shoes (think Sperry Topsiders). Socks come off when the footwear does and get washed and dried with the rest of the laundry.
Good decision, Killa! Choosing to go barefoot was a big moment in my life, and I've celebrated since!
