    Let me see.
Domestic air travel. TAA was merged into Quantas. Virgin Blue took up where Ansett left off. Domestic air travel has become much cheaper. There are some other carriers also competing ona smaller scale than the two big ones.
Telecommunications. The CDMA network work has been switched off. The 2G network is still going. The 3G network is almost everywhere. Big cities now have the 4G network. There an increasing trend towards people disconnecting their landlines and just have mobile phones. For internet I use an USB dongle. Dial up internet I am fairly sure is no longer available.
Aldi supermarkets have taken off. They started selling free range pig and chickens. This prompted Coles to do the same. Bunnings Warehouse has also taken off. There are also more shopping centres than there used to be.
There has been a mining boom that has translated into inflated house prices in the capital cities. It caused a rise in the Aussie dollar that made many imported goods cheaper but made local manufacturing less competitive. Mitsubishi has ceased local assembly of cars. The other three have timelines to cease manufacturing. GMH plans to continue research in Australia.

Well maybe it will. Maybe you won't communicate with the people and used to and a lot of things have probably changed. Good luck though if you move back!

It pretty much stays the same every time I go back.
    Just more buildings being erected.
More road works slowing the roads.
