I stepped on my notebook last night whilst stumbling up to empty the tank One of those asus transformer ones with one solid piece of gorilla glass Now it has an ugly crack in it Its only a couple months old My previous one was a HP with that flexi not even glass stuff, that I dropped like a dozen times and never damaged the screen I'm going back to one like that Say no to Gorilla Glass
ive accidentally stepped on both my laptop and iPad .. didnt put my full weight down on it though so it didnt break, when i realized i was stepping on it i got off.
come on vg....this complaint is comparable to me blaming my car for getting stuck in the mud this morning......it was my foot on the gas and it was your foot on the glass lol
aussies dont own tables?...you know...those flat things that you put stuff on so you dont have to walk on them
one of my friends had a laptop and they were always picking it up to move it by the screen. eventually the screen wouldnt stay open on its own at all and they seemed to be clueless as to the reason. can u still see through the crack or is it inside where it makes a big black area?
No didnt step on it hard enough, just a big crack thats annoying Of course next ill probably spill coffee on it, which will seep through and then its screwed Not a fan anyway, had a hp mini that had like flexy perspex something or rather. Id rather that than not have to worry about glass all the time, that thing lasted three years, only gave it up cos of now shitty ram
Don't put your laptop on the floor? (Rubs salt in the wound) My mom has a newer HP, of course everywhere you look it's cluttered over there. She likes to keep a pen or other miscellaneous object between the screen and keyboard. I want to say it's the more flexible glass she has... anyways, at least half the screen still works LOL and thank god for HDMI, that laptop was expensive. Now, SOMEHOW she managed to mangle the metal that sits on the speakers. I didn't even ask. My laptop's almost 10 years old. Sounds like a mini-shark vacuum with 3D gaming, but still runs like a champ despite all the faulty manufacturing. It does have a nasty dead spot on the bottom of the screen, but I think it's from overheating, burnt up the monitor wires or something. Oh! And my buddy dropped a hookah coal on it once left a few melty spots on the keyboard.
i don't understand tablets. i mean i know they were a big deal in science fiction back in the 80s before the technology was quite entirely ready for them to exist. but i can't imagine any other reason for something that's too big to fit in you're pocket, but too small to use as a work station, even a portable one. people buy these things, but what is their niche? really. what you never saw in movies or in books, that i can recall, is what people did with them when they weren't using them, how they carried them around, or why. in the winter when you can wear a coat with really big pockets, or if you wear a back pack all the time, or carry a shopping bag or a brief case. but i don't see that many people doing either of those things without everyone else looking at them like they think they're homeless or something. oh i forget, everyone enslaves themselves to drive a car to carry a ton of crap around in.
great for in the car...easier than a laptop in the car which is always awkward unless you drive a hummer
Commuting mainly, a phone is too small to watch movies on, and its not too small for a workstation, can do anything there And being one of those punces that sits at a coffee shop on their notebook, Im one of those
