I'm afraid to go barefoot outside

When walking barefoot you become more observant of your surroundings so you avoid stepping on things you shouldn't.

Personally though I hate being barefoot...I even like to wear shoes when I'm in my own house!

 

Also, consider what it would take for a needle on the ground to puncture you. It would have to be propped up or stuck in something to made it stick up so that it could impale you. Otherwise it's just going to lay flat on the ground.

 

Those worms are fine little beings. You just have to love them, man.

Don't be afraid to go barefoot. I have stepped on enough stuf and I am still here. I am just a kid and I have not worn shoes in 5 years. I run to school every day over gravel to toughen my feet. There is alot of thorn plants in the fields that I run and I just pull them out and keep going, it dosen't bother me. My feet are too tough.

Strange cause I found this in the barefoot forum but a bump lands it here. Sometimes things turn out different then expected.

People go barefoot all the time here in New Zealand. Never crossed my mind that I might step on needles or glass. Dog shit is more likely but I watch where I'm going and nothing bad has ever happened.
