That's a lot to think about. And a strange situation indeed. I agree that threats of homicide are report worthy. I agree with someone else that if your prints aren't on file then there's probably no way to trace it back to you. My initial thoughts were that your fresh prints being on a casing that's already been fired may or may not cause some type of alarm 'IF' the shell was picked up by the man or one of his associates following some heinous act committed by them or other 'close friends.' Typically, thinking from a forensics point of view, also depending on where the crime was committed, prints on a casing linked to a suspect would not be fresh, but tarnished... or burnt into the metal casing. If something would arise in the future, I would imagine it would seem plausible and believable if you were to tell someone this story with that information provided. Anyone could pick up a bullet casing in a variety of random places after it had been fired and evidence would prove that it were handled before or after being fired. Though, I would imagine typically a younger person, child/adolescent/teenager would be more likely to pick it up and be like 'hmmm...' or 'oh wow a bullet shell!' But in rural areas, it's not uncommon to be kicking around in the dirt, see a shiny object, pick it up and realize it's a shell casing. With that information aside... what the holy fuck were you thinking?! Maybe I'm just not one for that type of adventuring, but that's more than just a walk on the wild side if you ask me lol. The minute he pointed me out sitting in a restaurant drinking my coffee by tapping on the window, I'd be thinking 'oh boy, I'm gonna have to tell this guy off.' I'm born and raised in the hood tho, so 'undesirables' are quite common here. Though, I still don't know how to go about dealing with them on a constant basis. Every time I walk out of a Family Dollar around here, it's always someone going 'hey! Excuse me sir! Can I talk to you for a second??' For a good long while I decided I wouldn't even look at them to signal that I heard them calling to me, but for some reason I started giving them my time again. Just the other day a lady in her car 'got' me. I walked over and she claimed she was a veteran, asked me if I 'knew what a veteran was,' told me she had no food, her gas was off, she had little gas in her car, her kids were at home hungry, the list always goes on and on. Of course she could have been a veteran, but I seriously doubt it. I just gave her a dollar and told her I'm going through pretty hard times right now too. She thanked me at least and said 'God bless you.' But, I know there are a lot of people out there claiming to be veterans too, just so people will take pity on them and feel like they have to give them money. I walked away thinking 'next time, I'm going to ask them, oh you were a veteran? What branch did you serve? What did you do? Because to lie about something like that, that's completely fucked. Just my 3 cents I guess In your shoes though, I'm not sure what I would do. I'm leaning towards reporting what happened though. I don't know man. That's some high tension shit. I sure wouldn't go following strangers around anymore though lol.
So much for simple naive curiosity. Now I’m wondering who the real stalker was Maybe you were upset because he chose to single you out, maybe you don’t like to be disturbed while reading, maybe you were going to show him who’s boss - guys don’t pull guns unless they feel threatened Hotwater
