Illegal drug use

Well...maybe. But I'm not enlightened enough to do that yet... I mean you really have to be Aldous Huxley to be able to sustain your life through letting absolute knowledge flow through you.
My mind would explode if it was smashed.

I don't get the impression Aldous Huxley was particularly enlightened. I thought his first trip when he was in his 50s documented in Doors of Perception contained very basic and fairly mundane revalations. He was extremely intelligent and bookish, maybe too bookish for what he was preaching. I think his knowledge somewhat mirrored absolute knowledge very closely but I think through his drug experiences he realised it couldn't compare to the real thing.

A lot of drugs have potential, but have you ever seen a methie go psychotic, trying to get another hit?

FWIW, I used to have a friend that did a lot of drugs. He said it never did hurt him. Not to mention his multiple felony convictions, not to mention the hep c, not to mention stuff like that.

 

I think he said the codeine comment because its one of few drugs I ever take

but I take it for pain..and only when I need it..and not illegally

 

i use them to expand my consciousness and perceive things in a new way. i don't try to escape to 'lala land'.

Humans have been ingesting mind altering substances for thousands of years--it didn't just start in the 60's. Nothing new here.

Yeap, Alcohol is the worst drug. It hurts people's health, family, and society way worse then weed or psychedelics. Our values are all wrong because of taxation and big pharma's lobbying.

 

Ya know something guys, I specified illegal drugs. And I never forced anyone to answer. Yet when I get neg rep points for this with a vulgar comment, all I can think is "whoa dude! You DO need drugs, they just aren't illegal and a prescription would help you a lot, man!"
I eat candy bars, drink coffee & tea, and I even enjoy chocolate milk. Hell I even enjoy getting some pussy once in a while if I can. But no reason to give a neg rep and get vulgar over a mere difference of opinions. You guys wanna do drugs, fine. Do them, I don't care. Just act like a fucking grown up when you give neg rep comments.
