THE IDIOT! one of the best albums ever. one of the first industrial albums, too. iggy is so in-your-face hardcore that a lot of uptight music journalists/commentators can't bring themselves to praise him. not that he gives a fuck!! that's the best part. he is such a vibrant, intelligent, likable guy. i love the way he articulates himself, using a bit of metaphor, a bit of wit, and a lot of manic grin. i read about the rock'n'roll hall of fame, where they just did a round of additions. iggy and the stooges got left out again. but who cares? not me, not him. the first time i saw the dum-dum boys i was most impressed no one else was impressed not at all iggy!!!
was he the one that said buttfuckers tryin to run my world? i wake up thinking shit like that. i keep muttering that n killem all. how many 15? fucks ill stabbem in the face. imma go look fer links. i like havin friends with music librarys. ussually i feel ugly hate stayin more than a night at a mates but if they got librarys i wanna dig thru shit. like pressed rat. get sum bindles n dig thru his retardedly huge collection. gotta respect a dope addict that can build that much shit.
I like Iggy's solo work much better. Iggy's great... Ironically enough, I was listening to him when seeing this thread. Gives me lust for life, this.
I'm thinking about seeing them on this tour... should I? () I mean, it could be disappointing/depressing in the end.
Search and Destroy may be my all time favorite rock song ever. Sonic Reducer by the Dead Boys is up there too. Both make me feel like being born was almost worth it. The Stooges are one of the most important bands ever to me. They were highly influential in shaping the punk scene from the 70's on and Iggy ranks for me as one the most exciting performers in rock history. Love Asheton's guitar and songwriting as well.
