Sorry but I disagree,I've talked a few people out of joining the military.--Again like I mentioned in my earlier post I think joining the US military in the past was a totally different story, but these days STAY AWAY at all costs.Anyhow the US would be better off with 1/10th the military it has now--spend the money and resources where it counts-within the US.The world would manage just fine without the US in everyones business-and it would be better for the US too.
there isnt much i cud do about it... my kids dad was in the military... so you know.... if its ok for him then it is for them... i guess thats the way they would see it
BTW I know this is off topic, but the US should also stop spending money all over the world--I just heard the US is now going to give Haiti money,I don't give a shit about Haiti, let some other country give them money.Oh wait most other countries are too smart,so that won't happen.
There's no changing the mind of someone dead set on it. If they've got a single doubt, then you can talk them out of it. My friend, however, had declared at the age of 12 that he was going to grow up and play tuba in the military. And by god, that's where he is right now.
tuba in the military hahaha, now that's an acute, refined, very specific goal in life! go for him that hes living his dream. when i joined, i just walked in the recruiting office and literally said, 'sign me up'
It's hilarious, but if you knew him, it would just fit. I remember when I first met him when he was 12 and I was 13, he was the smallest kid in the band and the sousaphone for marching season swallowed him. And the biggest guy in the band played the flute. Oh man...it was awesome. Haha.
