If you were GOD, would you be hands on or hands off?

(I.E. - Would you intervene at all or would you leave all existence to themselves?)

that's why you invent a good randomization mechanism, like cosmic ray bombardment.

if everything were predictable, so would be yourself, and that would be no fun at all.

i'd give people, all kinds of people, on all kinds of world, a nice big hug once in a while if they wanted it. but your children can never grow up if you never let them learn anything on their own.

i once had a vision of a god's mind toward creation - awareness is the action . love is the same thing .
arms with hands attached are for keeping an acrobatic mtn god's balance , not for tinkering . a mtn god's
little cave is for resting the eyes from the light that's always on outside .

I'd switch between them both and keep myself entertained by playing a funky rhythm

Hands on with some wiggle room.
I would be a cosmic Game Master with a full compliment of dice.

Instead of hands on in the pragmatic conventionalist mode OR hands off in terms of consciousness in the language attachment, just name it as Capra did in Tao of Physics: experimental method systematic will OR mystical emptiness and word motivated intention idea. It is understood one transcendence is deliberate and repeatable, and the other transcendence is poetic and chance.

If I were god I wouldn't have a need for humans, animals, planets, etc. I definitely wouldn't tell my cronies to harass other humans because of their sexual orientation, sexual habits, word choice (swear words), ect.

So I would be hands off, although it technically wouldn't be hands off because I would not have given myself hands in the first place.

That's O.K. like hands on cooking which in a real kitchen the system is copied for the correct sequence and timing of instructed will from the master chef: not what G.Ramsay claims of some Hell's Kitchen.:sunny:

I take your meaning as the master chef is cooking through his students hands. If I am right, you are quick with such a response. If I am wrong, sorry for the misinterpretation.

If that is your meaning, I can see what you are saying, but only in referring to a god as a set of physical laws in the context of a deterministic world. Everything working through this set of laws (or one law) the one and only one way that this working can take place.

If one looks at this from a Parental aspect of view - the key for a child's development is to set guidelines, give advice but ultimately .. yo 'let the go - and indeed grow :)

The Deist perspective is that God did decide upon a hands-off policy after orchestrating The Big Bang, and didn't play a role in the formation of any religion. I personally feel that His story isn't over yet but is about to truly come to light.

    What would I do?

Would I completely divide my consciousness up into trillions of only basically spiritual yellow-energy discarnates after orchestrating The Big Bang with The Light, and hope for the possibility that lesser gods would eventually emerge billions of years later, and seek me out through time travel?

That is at best a dicey plan which would greatly test the courage of even the best of us.

    Great accomplishment involves great risk.

I think I would be actively involved and create life instead of dividing myself up into it. A cosmic lobotomy is simply not appealing to me.

For that reason, I surmise that my courage is not on a par with that of The Original Creator.

I'd be hands on but not with humans. Nope, y'all wouldn't exist, fuck that I've the whole universe to traverse and do things with. Not wasting my time on humans, hell nawh.
