It is not my fault if you cannot tell the difference between someone simply reporting the news and facts and someone putting their own agenda on it.

People also forget that medical journal databases exists, and that when a mainstream media report cites a study, the individual user can go online and see if the mainstream media represented the story correctly too.

The problem is I think a lot of average people, don't know what the symbols and statistics lingo in scientific articles mean, when you read the graphs and charts.

Education is necessary for accurate fact checking, and I suspect given the USA's crappy education system with math and science, that the reason conspiracy groups are on the rise and gaining traction, is because all that's left to politicize is emotional waves and trends.

Occupy and Tea party are examples of this, along with half-assed educational thoughts that sounds smart but have logical breakdowns upon scrutiny.

I am sorry....but you cannot talk about my boy, Anderson Cooper, like that, of CNN news and a couple of others.......Rachel Madow is good, too.......
I like my President, Obama, as well......I think he is a genuinely good person inside, whether he pleases you or not.

Can't tell if your being sarcastic.

I like Maddow's reporting she is very smart but I admit I do not watch CNN much as the networks overall reporting style seems sloppy to me and gimmicky, with reporters being "on the scene" of ____ and then the reporters get their initial facts wrong because of haste to break a story first .

I am sorry I can't respect that when there's an established pattern of behavior like that from so called "journalists".

Madow is as biased as they come, her special ed, trill in my leg Matthews and others will not speak to republicans on air, will not dare go against the whitehouse. I have to say at least fox has the people who spoke against bush when they saw fit

My problem with any journalist like maddow and, well really any famous journalist with their own show, is the cult of personality surrounding them. They're closer to being political pundits than real journalists in my opinion

Rachel Maddow has her own show, so of course, that is a little different and she is going to express her opinions about everything and put her take on things. If you agree with what she says, then you probably like her, if you don't....then you probably don't. That is par for the course with any one who has their own show.

Who just delivers the news with no opinions or trying to tell you what to think or how to feel about it?

Given the same choice again between him and Romney I would vote for Obama again. I voted for Obama more as a message to the Republicans about Bush. Not sorry I did. If Americans were smart they would replace the entire HOUSE and SENATE, especially McConnell, Boner (my spelling) and Reed. Was Cantor's loss a trend? Not sure I will ever vote for another Republican. Never voted anything else until Bush's second term.

I completely disagree with this. Maddow comes closer to speaking the truth than anyone else I know of. She should be the next Walter Cronkite.

I've heard Rachel Maddow speak out against the white house and Obama. I also think that, although it is CLEAR that Maddow DOES have a bias (example... she very clearly let's known things that are important to her...example, all the times she speaks out against the killings of abortion doctors in the US), she still sticks with things that are facts... a person can chose which facts they want to speak out and in that case Maddow is no different than anyone else in the media, but I do have to say that within those realms Maddow does stick to facts more than many or most other media personalities.

Actually Vance, Maddow has invited Republicans to be on her show, but they always decline.

I also want to say on MSNBC I don't like Chris Mathews because I think he's more of a showman, rather than someone who investigates issues and people based on historical precedent and facts.

Please support examples to backup your view on why bias is inherently bad and how Maddow is only in support of the White House liberal agenda.

    That's your claim, support it.

I voted for Obama twice, YES I'm very disappointed by him, but i would rather have him in office than either guy he ran against. In the first election I had hoped that one of the "CHANGEs" he was going to make, would be to get rid of the "patriot act". Of course he never said he was going to do that, but I hoped he would... I felt at the time he was going to make some really great changes & I realize that he has been "blocked" by the republicans every step of the way no matter what he tries to do. Still, I do not feel he has lived up to his campaign promise of "change". The 2nd election, I truly wanted to vote for someone else, but I definitely did not want "Romney" to win, so it was a lesser evil vote 2nd time around. To his credit, I'm glad we have "Obamacare", at least it's a start. BUT I want socialzed medical care & I think he shouldn't have caved to the republicans on that & ohhhh so many other issues.

I had hoped that he would shut down the grievous violations of privacy and human rights that are still happening but it may even be worse now than before. I think his administration is shady in a way, it feels as if much information is being hidden about what is going on and the true agenda.

The problem is far beyond the president, it is in the rest of the government and going against it would put things out of balance. I'm afraid it appears that it will be hard to fix things at this point, no matter what presidential candidate gets into office.

The landslide of shit has already been initiated, it has a lot of momentum and is going to be difficult to put to rest.

Some of the privacy concerns are just naturally due to advances in technology.

Look at how to concept of commercial drone use (non-military drones) are causing an uproar among citizens themselves.... with cameras nowadays I could zoom in from miles away and they wouldn't even know, so they would never take me to court.

Take a look at this link.
    http://www.politifact.com/personalities/rachel-maddow/

And just because she has said she has invited Republicans on doesn't mean it's true.

Bias is bad because you can't get the straight story out anyone. I am also speaking about people like Hannity and Rush. I am a R but I like to get non-biased info and not have my mind made up for me by the pundits.

You do know that Obama has the House and Senate for 2 years right? And why shold Republicans give up what they believe in and just give Obama a blank check. That has never been done before, why start with the worst President in history?
