Haha.. Beat me to it - I was going to say Chemistry. But I'd want to do at a higher level, say university lecturing or tutoring. I would not want to work with people this age, we're bastards, it's true. Seems a lot of people here like english lit and art.
seems also like we have a many competent teachers in several different disciplines...amazing. lo0l br0
I have a high passion for traveling and events of the past so probably World Geography or History, in either High School or College. I believe teaching is about engaging your students into the lessons, you want your students to want to learn. Also you have to break the subject down, teaching is not just about memorizing dates and quotes you have to make sure you know how to relate the subject to your students. They have to understand the significants of those dates and quotes. My $.02
i would agree. more than other similar sites/forums. as if i know for sure. what are the alternatives to hf, piaffy mcgraffy.
It'd be cool to teach music to little ones around 6 or 7 On first grade, all we ever did was sing and it was so fun so I wouldn't mind doing that and get paid for it too But I guess more realistically, I'd teach anthropology to university kids. I'd make such a bad lecturer though, I either forget what I meant to say or go on a rant.
As long as it is not a classical theory course. Than you just drone on and on about Weber and Marx. Some sociology classes are wicked boring.
This is very true, if you don't engage your students here they're not going to learn anything. You also have to want to motivate them and that's were I got enough of it, haha. Sure, I wanna motivate them and engage them in the lessons but if they don't want to (except when your dealing with WOII etc.) I can't get them to. I also don't like to put half of my energy in getting to motivate them, and most of my other energy to control like 30 kids of which half get really annoying. Yeah, I guess it also depends on their age and education level but I just can't get in the teacher role.
I'd teach a whole course on Marx, just so I could make the students suffer as much as I did during my studenty days (ok I'm still technically a student however I have no more classes left). Another course I'd teach for the same reason would be on Fuck-all.. I mean Foucault.
University kids. But I don't know if I have the brains to do that. I'd teach French and Social Justice.
