I guess my next question would be; do we trust the Holy Spirit that bore them along or are we to trust the "holy spirit" that tells you to deny what the Holy Spirit has done in the past? Or do you feel that it's okay for the Holy Spirit to be a house divided against it self?

 

Well, Jesus did say that there would be two groups of people who would call themselves Christian and only one of those groups would Jesus say he approved of.

Personally, I don't see Jesus approving of the group of Christians that say they hate you because you don't believe.

Who is we? If you have an authority question you should ask the holy spirit to answer it for you. No spirit tells me to deny what the holy spirit has done in the past. The holy spirit shows me that you neither enter in nor allow anyone else to enter because you think you are learned of scripture and you are confident you have the only correct bead on meaning. Because I say things that you feel are not scripturally accurate or taken "out of context", according to your estimation, I cannot possibly have been given the gift of the holy spirit that was promised.
