As a kid I thought of the idea of charging the car battery with the motion from the wheels. Rather disappointed it was already invented.

A contraceptive and STD pill that can be taken by both males and females. So you can get it on but don’t have to worry about pregnancy or catching venereal diseases.

 

This thread got me wondering what's up with 3D printing?


I remember a whole bunch of commotion about it when it came out but I haven't heard anything about it for the last half decade.

 

Just curious ..so are you a male or a female member? You never said in your profile and I can't tell by any of your posts..

I am female. . I simply think making hairy leg stockings would be funny. Ones with real hair sticking out on them. Now that I think of it, I would wear them, I do like my legs shaved. Might wear such a thing with some of my women friends who don’t shave their legs or underarms but have made comments and asked me why I do. They would get a good laugh if I did that.

 

3D printers make hard plastic models to scale for architects! They can make pieces for models you can put together, they are even used to make medical equipment, and can be used to make scale models of an organ which is used prior to a procedure,to plan out how things will go, etc.

 

If anyone could make a 3D printer print faster, they'd be rich.

It can take about 4-6 hours to 3D print a single-color GI Joe action figure or Barbie Doll. Which is pretty slow. But 3D printing is great if you're making 1-and-only pieces and prototypes. If you wanna make hundred or thousands of GI Joe action figures, then injection molding in a factory is the way to go.

 

There is a local mall which features a 3D printing store where you can make dolls/action figures of your likeness but I dunno, it seemed like the applications were going to be more far reaching a few years ago.
