If you could invent one thing, what would it be?

I’d invent a memory boost implant. You read or hear something once and you retain that information for life.

 

A machine that invented and replicated anything else I think about inventing.

 

I don't need a memory boost implant I just need mine tweaked like so I can actually remember something that might be important in life rather than the lyrics to The Vengaboys.

 

i already have that, for any useless information. although if you could find a way to include important details in that, it would be great.

without putting much thought into it, i think i would probably go with the standard time machine answer.

 

I'd invent a dog/cat treat that, harmlessly, neuters both male and female animals.

 

A drug or device that can turn your brain into an emulator, so you can experience what it's like to have a dog or a cat brain, for instance.

 

Transporter. Beam me up, Scotty.

 

A contact lense that makes any woman I look at instantly sexually attracted to me.

 

A treatment to cure Alzheimer's disease and dementia..

 

If you don't invent a spaceship as well, where are you getting beamed up to?

 

Where ever I wanted to be beamed to. Imagine just think about where you want to be and bam! you are there. That's better than being able to fly like Superman or even x-ray vision.

Yeah, I'll give up my transporter for that. Lost my dad to dementia and a sister in law is showing early stages.

I'm sorry to hear that...My mom has shown signs of dementia and she is only 50...

 

Sorry about your mom. Dad was in his early 70s when he became ill. My sister in law is mid 70s and has MS. So sad for her and the strain it is putting on my brother.

 

It's a bitch of a disease...Its so hard on my dad to see my mom forgetting things..
My mom acts differently towards me, too. .

 

I wish I could give you some encouragement. All I can do is hope you have the strength to keep loving her even when she does not recognize you. I believe you have that strength.

 

That's very nice of you to say. Thank you...I think I'm a pretty strong, independent thinking woman, but this situation has kicked my ass and it infuriates me that it's happening to her..
Even if she stops recognizing me, I'll be there for her. .
I recently saw the video, "I'll be me" that Ashley Campbell put out about her dad, Glen Campbell who suffered and eventually died from Alzheimer's disease. .. It's been very helpful about what may lie ahead for my mom and for me and my dad. .
