Frank Zappa, and to lesser extent, the Threadstarter's list of muysicians. Especially Hendrix. Oh yeah. AND SHANNON HOON. BLIND MELON-Awsome. good thread.
As one gets older, sadly, there are more to mourn - though the way I see it, there more to look forward to, as I pass into the Heaven or Hell of the next place that lies beyond - It'll be a "Great gig in the sky" meThinks
I really wanted to say Kurt Cobain, but then I realized that it would be unfair to him. He was in so much pain that he wanted to die, bringing him back would be cruel. Then I wanted to say John Lennon, but he was a dick human being. That said, I guess I have to go with Bob Marley. A solid dude.
Wow, this is unbelievable. 14 pages and no one has mentioned the best guitarist ever. Is it no wonder why I havent returned here in so long? My pick is Roy Buchanan.
Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. He was an incredible talent and a great musician. He had a phenomenal ear for dynamics and melody.
