    Oh yeah..

I read that the polls closed at 7, but they couldnt count the votes until closing. I wonder when the results will be released?

Yeah I think they are still counting. It's pretty close. The frustrating thing is so many of the people voting NO are completely ignorant about weed.

Yes is ahead by almost 6,000 votes now. I think its safe to say it is going to pass. It won't change how things are done there, but its framework. And that is fucking cool.

Well it's not as great as you think, you still will be prosecuted. My city (seattle) has a law similar. The city attorney's office said that if the measure passed, police would simply file marijuana possession charges under state law. making possession the lowest law enforcement priority. A similar measure was on the ballot in the ski resort town of Telluride.

    WOOHOO DENVER COLORADO!!

But, according to state law, its still a fineable offense. :(

BUT, head not those who say this accomplished nothing. This is a symbolic victory, if nothing else, for this is a big step for Colorado. Our largest city legalizes marijuana, soon others will follow suit. Colorado might be the 2nd state to fully legalize private posession (Alaska being the first).

I have skateboarded for 10 years and i know several pros and niether me nor them are great athletes, all we do is flick our legs around, Hockey players are great athletes because there sport demands so many aspects of movement.

I skated for over ten years, and knew pros also. Every once in awhile I'll roll around and do some manuals, or go longboarding. My skating days are over though, and it's just my opinion about the true skateboarder vs other athletes. man, we did some crazy shit back in the day, and it's just gotten even crazier.

First, regardless of that, it's a good move, symbolic at the very least.

Second, I thought only state cops could arrest for state laws? Doesn't jurisdiction come into play? The city, not the state, hires/pays those cops, so they should be serving city law, not state law.

^^^ya i don't think you'll have a bunch of state cops running around in the city busting people for it...I think it will be considered legal there.
hopefully other states and countrys can take a lesson from this...
