I do not know what will. Here is an article from Huffington post about a stray dog finding his only friend.... Stray Dog Finds Comfort In Only Friend He Can Find By Christian CotroneoFollow Mar. 22, 2016 GET OUR NEWSLETTER You're subscribed! They came from very different worlds. But they shared one thing in common: They had been abandoned. And for a brief moment, they came together. [*] [*] Yvette Holzbach / Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Yvette Holzbach keeps going back to the spot where she took the photo of this unlikely pair — a street in Houston, Texas known for unwanted dogs. Through her rescue, Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward, she tries to save as many as she can. When she came upon this scene earlier this month, her initial reaction was human. "When I first saw this dog lying on this tattered and torn soft toy my first reaction was, 'Oh how cute is that?'" she wrote on her Facebook page. Her next reaction was humane. "Reality sunk in once I started taking the picture," she added. "Here is a stray dog taking comfort in a worn-out, discarded toy." But Holzbach couldn't take this dog with her that day. The rescue didn't have the space. "We are always faced with the dilemma of deciding which dog to send out a plea of help for," she wrote. "This dog absolutely broke my heart but it was a dog that was in relatively good shape and unfortunately, the sad truth is, a dog in this condition would be much harder to find a foster for than any others we find in worse shape." Holzbach went back to the area as recently as Tuesday. She looked everywhere. No sign of the abandoned dog. Or his toy. But she will keep looking. In the meantime, perhaps this dog and his temporary companion might teach us all something about the realities of disposable culture: Animals are not things to be used up and then thrown away. First photo and story really hit my inner being and made me cry...many things do, but we are in animals and pets now....so...to balance this thread... IF THIS DOES NOT MAKE YOU LAUGH, NOTHING WILL! ;D DOG FOR SALE : A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale 'He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard. (photos did not show up in these big spaces) The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there. 'You talk?' he asks. 'Yep,' the Lab replies. After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?' The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so... I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping.' 'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running... But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.' 'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.' The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog. 'Ten dollars,' the guy says. 'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?' 'Because he's a Bullshitter. He's never been out of the yard'
and the if this does not make you cry, laugh ......etc...nothing will is an old saying I have heard many times...not my own saying....
