Maybe! I am pretty sure, I am provoking them. But this is my form of protest angainst them to give up their culture. My message: if even a white guy does not feel ashamed but pretty good in going naked, why are you ashamed about your ancestral tradition, which in reality is perfetct, to live in your "habitat" at the traditional life-style (hunting, fishing, simple agriculture).
Formerly women had much time. Now they spend hours beating cloths to wash them at the river. Indians normally do not have nor need money. Now they need to by new cloths and detergents. Clean rivers are contaminated.
Nothing calls mosquitos like clothes full of sweat. Not even repellants work. Naked is quite different. Plastic sandals cause micosis. To wear blouse or bra instead of toppless causes mastites in womens breasts.
They only use clothes to suffer! What nonsense!

Penis decorations, vaginal decorations ("uluri" from xigu tribes). That depends from your tribe. Some use, others not. Generally are not obligatory, within tribal law. If indians say contrary to you, the whit guy, they are tricking you, just making a joke, to see the proud white ashamed.
In some tribes only men go completly naked, wheras women use lainclothes, in other is contrary, in others both use, in others nudity complete.
If you have to decorate your penis or your vagina with a string, according to tribal tradition, don't worry. It's quite comfortable, you still feel naked and free.

Yeah but they weren't dripping with sin like the modern human is, as the bible tells us. The Fall of Man apparently means we have to wear clothes, because otherwise we'd go around raping and murdering each other, the filth-ridden monsters that we are...

 

Beach for sure. Outdoor festivals, perhaps sports events with full body paint, and I also would probably run/excersize in the nude too!

 

You're the one who's there, so I can't argue. But if I were visiting Indians, I'd be very much aware of the long history of insults white people have given them, and I'd try to be respectful. There is some irony there, with a white person trying to present a discarded part of their own culture (i.e. nudity) to them and seeing them prefer to keep the clothing that they get from other white people.

I hope you don't have arguments with your wife over this. She might say, "You're embarrassing me in front of my family and old friends." Or perhaps she just says, "White people are all crazy. Just let him have his fun."

Indian, like all indiegonous people are no fools, but intelligent. They observe us:
* they have fire guns,
* they have aeroplanes,
* they have TV and computers,
* the have most powerful medicine.
Conclusion: Their civilization must be superior to our!
White man hates to be naked, let's learn tu use clothing as well!

Oh gosh! What about him? A white guy, who prefers to go naked, like our fathers?
* Is he crazy? Let´s observe him and talk with him to see, if he is reazonable or not. If he is, there would be a different question:
* There are white people, like sand on river beach, we know only a small number of them. Are there different kinds of whites? Is there any oposition, whites, who understand our traditional live style, capable to integrate it in theirs? If there are, we should better copy these, in order to conserve our traditions and to learn from the whites at the same time, seems to be possible, according to the behaviour of those whites, different from the others.

If public nudity was legal, the objectification of the human body would end.

 

Probably not much more than I do now. Maybe a little more on the beach. Just out of others respect.

 

On the beach for sure, also maybe in parks, and definitely would swim nude.

 

I hope, one day will be legal.
In future clothes only should be used against cold or when there is true danger. If not: everybody naked!
They should use decoration or paintings, if anyone likes to "become more pretty".

not sure of the area you are in but sadly i doubt it is legal here. however i havnt looked it up yet and that wont happen because i am off to the nude beach.

 

A little discretion and common sense will go a long way in staying out of trouble. Obviously if you walk out in the middle of a big ole public beach and strip down you are going to draw some unwanted atten. If you are somwhat a bit out of the way even if people do discover you I have found they generally leave you alone. I am spoiled becasue usually when I go to the beach it is in Humboldt County. It is like weed.... technically it is illegal but nobody seems to mind.

 

I think it's more a matter of social consideration than law. Whether it's legal or not, I wouldn't appear nude in front of someone if I thought it would offend or embarrass them. In an ideal world, no one would be offended or embarrassed, but we don't live in an ideal world.

The laws on public nudity are, of course, different in each country and, I presume, in each US state. In the UK there are no laws stating where you can and can't be nude, but if you appear nude in a non-nudist environment you can be prosecuted if someone complains that they were offended. In reality, however, that rarely happens.

 

I very much agree with your first paragraph.

 

I would never wear clothes, shoot, unless I needed shorts or underwear to protect my coochie in some situations...or if I needed to stay warm. Otherwise, clothes are just annoying.

 

I've been to towns where public nudity is legal and you don't often see too many people taking advantage of that law. And even if it was legal, I don't think many private establishments would allow nudity in their venues.

 

For me it would depend on whether just the law was changing, or also people's attitudes to nudity in public.

If it was just the law changing, I would probably still wear clothes most of the time in public because I wouldn't want to risk harrassment or confrontation with people who were reacting to seeing a naked woman walking around. But I'd probably be more relaxed about going naked in places where I felt safe or where I was with lots of friends or family.

If attitudes changed as well, and nudity became just another way of dressing in people's minds, I would probably be naked almost all the time except outdoors in winter, because it's my favourite way to be so why wouldn't I?
